I travelled solo on public transport. Easily reached from Penrith station and has a decent bus service from other areas. The guesthouse is well situated on a pleasant 15 minute walk into town, although a bus stop is 200 yards away if needed. Theres a beautiful river and woodland walk directly behind Craglands- perfect for pre-breakfast/evening walks, without having to... More

Clean guest house just outside of Keswick. Lovely very helpful owners. Breakfast is brilliant and they are very accommodating . Both owners are very knowledgeable of the area...make sure you speak to them before heading out for the day. This is great budget accommodation. Would Highley recommend. Thanks

I stayed at the craglands guesthouse for two nights for a wedding. I had a single room without en suite. My room was absolutely delightful, comfortable, well presented and well equipped with a television and tea making facilities. On my arrival Pauline and Mark were very welcoming; they were both genuinely interested in my trip and made sure I was... More

This B&B is located close to the heart of Keswick and has off-street parking which is a bonus. The host will even park your vehicle for you! The rooms are well maintained and clean but you may need to manage a number of stairs if on the upper floors. Our hosts, Pauline and Mark, were a delight and willingly shared... More

I stayed here for 1 night on a hillwalking trip. I had wanted to stay at the hostel but it was full. But wanting somewhere cheap made this seem expensive for a single person, especially as I did not have en-suite facilities. Having said that, the room was clean and the owners were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good.

We stayed at the Cragland's guesthouse Mid April this year for a long weekend. The guesthouse provides good value for money with well decorated, clean rooms. We were on the top floor at the back of the house and barely heard any noise from either the other rooms or outside. The guesthouse is on a main road, if you walk... More

Good rooms, excellent breakfast and great company. Cannot fault it in any way and we would definitely stay here again. Not far from the town and located in an excellent area. We really enjoyed our stay.

Spent three nights here and it was perfect. It was a bit outside of the town centre with an easy walk in, which meant you get away from the busy centre. Pauline and Mark were excellent hosts, providing us with all the information we needed to get around Keswick and the different hikes around the area. We did not have... More

We spent two nights under the care of our hosts Pauline & Mark. Perfect, professional, warm, friendly and highly knowledgeable while not being intrusive. The balance they have is not easily achieved but it makes for a perfect stay. The guest house is well located - away from the hustle of the centre but only a 10 minute walk from... More
