Stayed for one night on our way back home to Scotland. Sarah was on hand to meet us and made tea and coffee with some delicious home made cake. Nice comfortable room with a view of the fantastic garden. Excellent choices for breakfast using local produce. On leaving we were given a bag of local sweets which we enjoyed.

This house is difficult to locate. There ought to be a visible sign outside as there is no number, but only a small sign saying Bank House. The bedroom was nice with a comfortable bed. The shower room looked nice, but the shower lacked power and was very weak. There was a nice view from the breakfast room. The cooked... More

Thank you for your review and your informative remarks. Bank House Is like most of the other houses at the top of Graham Street, a Victorian house which has never had a number. It is well marked on google maps as Bank House B and B. I believe on most sat navs the post code will take you to a... More

The signature of the Bank House is their welcome. I've never been offered cake and tea when arriving anywhere - but there is always a first. My hosts for the evening could never be more welcoming. As far as the accommodation goes, this is a solid Victorian / Georgian building with a lovely garden set a high above Penrith town.... More

Lovely period house sympathetically furnished with a beautiful view from the dining room where we were served an excellent breakfast. Our room was cosy, comfortable and very clean. We were made very welcome by our friendly hosts who were extremely helpful and accomodating. We could not have asked for more. Hopefully we will be back soon for a longer stay.

A very comfortable stay. The house has a certain elegance, not especially obvious externally. The bedroom was well appointed and the breakfast was excellent. Although at the op of a hill, it was within easy walking distance of the centre of Penrith.

We stayed one night on our way home from Scotland. Bank House is on a quiet road just a few minutes walk into the centre of Penrith. Our room was comfortable and clean. The cooked breakfast is very good with a choice of fruit, cereals, yoghurts to start. Sarah and Dean are very friendly and have a great knowledge of... More

Despite the autumn leaves still rustling around the doormat, the outside of the house which could do with a lick of paint and the freezing bedroom, we loved this place. There is a real atmosphere. The garden with hundreds of birds chirping away overlooks the town. Very pleasant hosts. Breakfast of smoked haddock was cooked to perfection. The amazing pictures... More

Bank House is a lovely B&B in a quiet location but within walking distance of the centre of Penrith. Our hosts were first class, very warm and welcoming. Breakfast and afternoon cake and coffee more than we could eat and provided much needed fuel as we were cycling the coast to coast. We were carrying all our kit on our... More

Lovely rooms and breakfast, using local produce. Easy parking on a quiet street and only a short walk into Penrith. Great location for some beautiful countryside. Have stayed twice now and will definitely stay again.

We stayed here on our way from lands end to john O'Groats by bicycle. Received a warm and friendly welcome from Sarah and Dean who go the extra mile to make you feel at home. The breakfast was incredible with porridge, full English (Cumberland style) and fresh fruit, all provided by local suppliers from Penrith. Great place. Lovely hosts.
