Returned here after first coming a few years ago. And the breakfast was just as good as I remember, beautiful and very tasty local produce. Room was very nice and quiet, which ensured an excellent night's sleep. Can;t ask for any more really.

I would highly recommend Bank House in Penrith, we stayed for 4 nights in a lovely, well lit room that had great views of Penrith and the peaks. There was plenty of cupboard and draw space to put your clothes, and the bed was really comfortable. There was a nice selection for breakfast with coffee and cake each afternoon when...

Me, my husband mother in law and daughter stayed just before Christmas for 3 nights as we were going to granddaughters christening in Penrith. It was just what we wanted a very comfortable bed and breakfast. The rooms are excellent as is the breakfast which is all locally produced fresh food. Will be going back again soon.

I would heartily recommend Bank House to anyone. The lovely friendly welcome and the service were second to none. The attention to detail was perfect. My room and en suite were spacious and airy. The breakfast was truly amazing! I congratulate the owners and will definitely be back when next in the area.

The view from the room overlooking the garden was spectacular, even though it was a misty morning. Breakfast was outstanding with all ingredients locally sourced. A few minutes walk from Penrith...

My husband and I stayed for two nights in July for our son's graduation in Carlisle. Bank House is very convenient for the centre of Penrith but in a lovely quiet residential area. The room and bathroom especially, were of an excellent standard. As everyone else comments on the breakfast, I must advise you to allow lots of time to...

Possibly the best beakfast ever. Good quality fabrics, lovely touches. Friendly and helpful. Even has great views. A star amongst B&Bs. My wife came with me on this trip (most unusual) and absolutely loved this stopover.
