This place is a great find. Rooms are amazingly well appointed and clean. The bar is spot on being both dog and walker friendly. The food is of good quality and well presented at a good price. The staff in both the hotel and bar were friendly chatty and informative. Regarding the area just an amazing location all round.

Superb :-) A friend and I had dinner at the Badger Bar this evening and it was lovely. I had the Jamaican curry made by a talented Jamaican chef and my friend had pie of the day. Thank you very much :-)

Just had three nights stay in this wonderful hotel. The staff are superb, very friendly and welcoming with excellent service. Some of the rooms are dog friendly with their own separate entrance and the dog walking opportunities within 2-3 minutes are something else. There is a wild badger feeding in the grounds, just seconds away from the cottage and the...

Had a lovely comfortable warm friendly stay with our two pooches. Loved the warm Badger Bar where we were able to eat our evening meal with our dogs alongside. Breakfast was well cooked and presented by efficient but friendly ladies always ready to smile and be helpful. Location super. Seeing badgers on site a real treat for us.

The owners have spent a lot of time renovating the rooms with the result they are warm and comfortable and very tastefully decorated. Breakfast is excellent with plenty of choice ,Kelly and Carolyn ensure all your needs are...

Spent three nights here and what a great break it was. From the accommodation to the food the stay was very enjoyable and great value. The rooms are traditional, unspoilt, clean and have their own character. Can't praise the staff enough, they were friendly and helpful. The bar serves traditional Lakeland ales and the barman Andy was only too pleased...
