We were recommended to The Wild Boar for steak and we weren't disappointed. Extremely helpful staff and the food was beyond amazing. We're venturing back up to The Lakes this Summer and will definitely be returning for some delicious Fillet Steak!

Enjoyed a great meal with family after a walk in Windermere. Great service and quality of food was excellent. The Wild Boar is very family-friendly and kids have a lot to choose from. Great place to visit and in a great location!

My partner & I were travelling down from Scotland & decided to stop at The Wild Boar. We called ahead to see if there were rooms available, Lina helped us greatly & within the hour we arrived & our room was ready. All the staff were friendly & welcoming as always. Brilliant stay!

My wife and I have stayed at the wild Boar on a few occasions. We first discovered it when looking for a wedding venue to suit our laid back, relaxed tastes. From the moment we walked in on our first visit we knew it was going to be a strong contender. It has so many appealing little quirks that you... More

Mid-week stay for 2 nights. Myself, my wife and border Collie Kim. My wife and I called in for lunch last Sunday before the Elton John concert at Crooklands. The meal whilst not cheap was excellent. The Wild Boar has several items on the menu that are unusual. I thoroughly enjoyed my starter of Morecambe bay shrimp followed by a beautiful boar chop then baked Alaska to finish. My wife's black pudding... More

We've stayed here for two nights this weekend whilst doing a local mountain bike race. Excellent location for getting around, welcoming atmosphere, attentive staff. Bedroom was beautiful and had everything we needed except some biscuits to go with our morning coffee on the second morning, a very minor thing but we like one with our morning cuppa. We ate in... We have just returned from our second weekend break at this hotel, as a party of two couples. We did not have the luxury bedrooms this year (which we had last year and they are amazing). Best ever in the the Lakes - If you are looking for a secluded location, surrounded by woodland, not far from Windermere, this is the place for you. The building has a charming character, the staff will bend over backwords to help, the chefs are top nothch!
