We stayed on a five day Shearings break and found this hotel was more than adequate, for the price we paid. Our room was of a good size, had been freshly decorated and the bathroom was modern and had all the necessities, was warm and clean, sometimes a bit too warm. The food was pretty good with a good choice...

I spent Easter weekend at this hotel with a scenic view room on a coach trip with Shearings. Unfortunately, the room was very cold and it was actually warmer in the hotel corridor! Went to the desk and was advised I would be supplied with a heater. This did make the difference to the room temperature but it had to...

Spent a couple of days here...great position. Size of the room was ok but there were so many things that need addressing. I do not know if some of the rooms have already been renovated but ours definitely wasn't. I have attached some photos to show the issues. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was a bit...

Just spent a 5 day coach holiday (Shearings) here and overall really enjoyed our experience. The room we were given was light, airy and spacious and the beds very comfortable. The food generally was fine (with a minor exception, more of which later), served by the most cheerful, friendly and helpful waiters (all Spanish I think, but nothing like Manuel!!)....

Couldn't fault this hotel for what was provided for the price. Room was clean and comfortable and we had everything we needed. Staff were extremely helpful and pleasant. There was plenty of choice on the menu and food was of a good standard and served quickly. The only thing that needs updating is the wifi as access was only available...

Stayed for a long weekend and found the staff very friendly and obliging. Good walk behind the hotel for great views across Windermere. Two minute walk to train station and bus stop. The bathroom was a bit small otherwise would have given the hotel a '5'.
