This was a last minute booking. Carol is very friendly and made us feel very welcome. The room was spotlessly clean and well equipped. The bed was comfy. Breakfast was lovely. A good selection of cereal and fruit. The" full english" looked good and my boiled egg was spot on! The house is situated on a quiet street within easy... More

We spent a wonderful night at Dalecote house. Everything was perfect: a clean, silent and charming room with private bathroom, a super full english breakfast, and a kind and helpfull landlady who gave us all information and suggestions we needed. If we decide to go to Windermere again, we will surely stay at Dalecote house. Highly recommended! Andrea and Daniela... More

I cannot agree with "Disappointing" review of August 18th... I had the same room and, whilst not suitable for a very large person, both the shower cubicle and room sizes were adequate. More important was the excellent quality of food, the welcome and helpfulness of the landlady, plus the warmth and comfort of having pristine clean bedding and towels etc.... More

Slightly outdated B&B, put on sale, seemed like the owner was tired of running it. We were the only guest, had very small room with tiny en-suite. The electric shower didn't work when water was needed in other parts of the house i.e. washing machine. Breakfast was good. Overall, wouldn't choose to stay there again.

My friend and I stayed at dalecote for the weekend as we were running the marathon... The B&b was v comfy,v clean and v welcoming and carol went the extra mile for us by getting up early on race day to fuel us with porridge and letting us chill our prosecco for when we'd finished! Recommend to all :)

We loved staying with Carol at Dalecote and can not recommended this B&B more. Carol provides a warm, friendly and welcoming service through a conveniently situated establishment in Windermere, just a short but quiet walk from the main street and with good access to the Lake District in general. The rooms are clean, breakfast brings a great choice and variety;... More

Thoroughly recommend this B&B. Spotless. Beautiful room. The bedding/towels were awesomely white, and the bed comfortable too. My breakfast was one of the best ever..A platter of six different fresh fruits followed by a full English..so tasty. A lovely hostess. Well worth the 5stars I awarded Dalecote.
