We arrived and was greeted by lovely views and a warm welcome. The property is well maintained and is clean. It is located just outside the main town and takes about 15 minutes to walk down to the lake. My only complaint was the bed, the room was great but the bed really needed a better mattress, you could feel...

Beautiful rooms. I even dropped the mega review of 'best B and B I've ever stayed in'. The owners were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was lovely and a great start for the day and just little things like leaving milk in the hall so you could just grab some if you ran out. Would highly recommend and would hope to...

We stayed here for two nights in March. We came over to walk up Helvellyn and explore the Lakes. What a lovely place to stay. The B & B is very well looked after and certainly ticked all the boxes. As soon as we arrived we were shown to our room (we were upgraded to The Cranny as they were...

We stayed last weekend and what a lovely house. We usually stay in the cheaper type hotels which are all modern and corporate, and not cheaper at the end with all the add - ons. This is a beautiful old house and to have breakfast in the morning with the log fire burning and candles on the tables was a...

We stayed here for 2 nights over New Year's Eve and New Year's Day, as we fancied a festive dose of the glorious Lakes. Our aim was to stay somewhere stylish, clean and homely and we were not remotely disappointed by Ivythwaite Lodge! We were greeted by Wendy (who was friendly and efficient) and showed to our room which was...

Just back from a 2 night stay in 'The Nook' apartment. What a piece of heaven. Spotlessly clean, quiet, fully equipped with everything you could need, warm and comfortable. Fabulous location inbetween Windermere and Bowness so we left the car alone and enjoyed being able to get everywhere on foot. Thanks to Mick and Wendy for their attention to detail...

We spent a long weekend in the Nook. It's absolutely spot-on and the owners are genuinely nice people. It's clean, tidy, well equipped and in a nice quiet location halfway between Bowness and Windermere. We loved it and will be staying here again.

We stayed the weekend here at Ivythwaite Lodge. The house is between Windermere town and lake Windermere and set back in a side road.It is so peaceful and quiet with no background noise. The breakfasts were superb and the whole place is beautifully decorated and feels authentic to the 1890s era of the house. Many thanks to Wendy and Mick...
