We stayed with Wendy and Mick at Ivythwaite lodge in the Cranny for 4 nights. What a great friendly couple, which were happy to stop and chat and help with any local advice of the area. The accommodation is homely and modern with home comforts. The kitchen has enough equipment for basic self-catering, with a fridge, microwave, toaster, plates and...

A big thank you to Wendy and Mick for a lovely, comfortable stay at Ivythwaite Lodge. We were made to feel very welcome from start to finish and will definitely be returning. The location is fantastic - half way between both Windermere Town and Bowness on Windermere and away from all the hustle and bustle of the Spring Bank holiday...

Found this great location online and very happy I booked. Mick was very happy to converse with me via telephone for all my random questions. He also contacted me the day before to inform me that he will not be there and informed me of the name of the person who would be looking after us. The location is fantastic...

Lovely little hotel in an ideal location. Just a 5-10 minute walk to Windermere high street in one direction and down to Bowness and Windermere lake in the other yet tucked up a quiet street away from the busy through road. Hosts Wendy & Mick were amazing and Wendy's breakfasts are a great way to start the day (try the...

Spent a weekend at the Ivythwaite lodge, the hosts were friendly & knowledgeable about the area. Location was perfect between the lake & the town with a short walk to either. Will definitely stay here again.

Visited for my birthday, given a double room with a four poster bed and ensuite. Clean and nicely decorated. Guest house itself is a short walk to both Windermere village and also towards Bowness and Lake Windermere. Breakfast was picked the night before and very nice, would recommend.

Mick and Wendy were personable and fantastic hosts, the choice for breakfast was far better than all the other guest houses we looked at and was the most reasonable for price. I couldn't recommend a better place to stay with the added bonus of the spa bath which is perfect for warming up, after a day exploring the lakes.

We visited for my girlfriends birthday, the house was nicely decorated and well situated just outside of the town centre. A short walk and you are at the "shops". We where in room 1 which had a four poster bed and a spa bath! The bed was very comfortable and large enough to spread out. The shower was good and...

Stayed in the attic room for two nights and couldn't fault the place. We arrived later than expected on the Friday night due to traffic but Mick was more than welcoming, showing us to our room and recommending a local pub for a late night bite (The Brookside). The bed was very comfy and the room was absolutely delightful with...
