Unfortunately we were expecting a 5 star experience but it was more like 3 star. We booked 2 superior rooms and they were both so different. One being almost half the size of the other. Both rooms very dark as was the rest of the guest house. The lounge if you can call it that had a mini bar that...

We came for my partners birthday, fantastic room, prosseco on ice in our room, the breakfast the next day was out of this world. Not oily, all cooked perfectly! The staff were very attentive and friendly! Highly recommend ☺️

I stayed at The Howbeck for 2 nights last week and had a wonderful time. The hotel was lovely, staff were really friendly and we had a fab room. Breakfast was gorgeous and we can't wait to stay there again.

Really nice little hotel. Location is great for exploring Windermere and the lake. Room were left unattended and open during cleaning which wasnt ideal. Nice breakfast and very friendly and helpful staff.

We stayed for two nights in the Windergill. Was a really nice room, nice and modern and clean. Breakfast was lovely although we found the vegetarian breakfast a bit random. The vegetarian sausages were a bit like veggie burgers (although nice not what I would have for breakfast). Also some potatoes in a creamy cheesy sauce, more for dinner but...

From the second we arrived the staff were welcoming friendly and approachable. Our room was perfect with a luxurious four poster bed complete with fairy lights and rose petals! The bathroom was very clean with a well sized spa bath and shower. Breakfast was delicious with plenty of choice. Good WiFi. Well located for both Windermere and Bowness. Would recommend...

Lovely few days at the lakes. The Howbeck is a very nice hotel and we enjoyed our stay. The Lakes and surrounding hills, passes and walks are as wonderful as ever, having a nice, peaceful hotel added to the trip.

Myself and my wife stayed at the Howbeck for two nights. We arrived mid afternoon on the Friday and were made to feel very welcome. The room was lovely and the staff couldn't be more helpful. The hotel is situate just a few minutes walk from Windermere and about a 15 minute stroll to Bowness. The rooms were very comfortable...

Booked two nights with secret escapes well worth the money! Room was really nice and the breakfast was exceptional. They catered for my wife who is gluten intolerant which was a bonus. Highly reccomended. The staff were all lovely and helpful especially gosia. 😀 x
