You will not find a more friendly or helpful couple than the owners of this B&B. We stopped over for 2 nights. The first morning we had to be up very early to do one of my daft sporting events- a light breakfast was provided...More
We enjoyed The Coach House B&B in Windermere. Friendly hosts (Mark and Emma) and the rooms are clean and comfortable. The English breakfast is very good. Convenient location and a good base for visiting the other places in the Lake District.
Lovely b&b. Have stayed here numerous times. The new owners are fantastic. Decorated to a high standard. Spotlessly clean. Close to Windermere and Bowness-on-Windermere.
Only criticism is an uncomfortable bed and the toast at breakfast was dry. Thicker and more rustic bread would be better.
Lovely rooms, lovely hosts. Mistake with the booking when we arrived, they couldn't do enough to sort the issue out. Breakfast was amazing too. Great location within easy walking distance to Windermere and bowness Would definitely recommend to anyone.

Yes there are lots of places to eat but i would suggest you book in advance to avoid being disapointed. My partner and i ended up getting a take away after trying to get into several establishments only to be told they were fully booked. There is a pub in Bowness that is value for money and serves good pub grub if thats what you are looking for its called The Stags Head its right on the waters edge next to a Hotel called Mcdonald Old England Hotel and Spa (We thought the prices were a bit steep in here).I have reviewed both of these establishments on Tripadvisor.Hope this helps but as always it's a matter of personal preference.
