We stayed here for 2 nights whilst visiting friends. Cannot recommend this place highly enough. Down a quiet road but within 5 mins walk to the centre of Windermere. Very comfortable rooms and the breakfast is simply delicious.... and so much of it!! We picked here originally due to travelling up on our motorbike and needed somewhere safe to leave...

This was our first stay at the hotel and we hope to visit again. It is on a quiet lane and is a beautiful building with tasteful decor. The hotel has a large car park and a garden area with tables and chairs. The owners Richard and Lisa are very friendly and warm people and make you feel very welcome. The...

We stayed for 3 nights. This was our second visit to The Hideaway in two years. Richard and Lisa were wonderfully hospitable hosts, just as they had been at our last visit. The breakfast and afternoon cakes were totally delicious. Our spacious room was on the top floor and very quiet. It is a short walk to the centre of...

This is our third time to the hideaway. Always great service from Richard, Lisa and the team. Tucked away on a quiet road near the town and a short walk down to Bowness the hide away is a perfect location with plenty of parking. If you want a no nonsense guest house with a superb breakfast then the hideaway could...

Room 10 very good, room 7 also looks great. Hosts Lisa and Richard very attentive. Nothing too much trouble for them. Free home made cakes and tea between 2:30 and 5:00 can be served in garden. Highly recommended.

Our room was on the top floor. It was spacious, clean and comfortable. The whole house is a delight. Tastefully furnished throughout. Food quality excellent. Service pleasant, friendly and reliable. My wife and I would recommend the Hideaway without hesitation. This review comes from two senior citizens in their sixties(!) We spent five nights at the Hideaway.

The Hideaway is quite simply a hidden gem, tucked away down a side lane, just a short walk away from the town centre. It's lovely, clean, tidy and is great value for money too. The cooked breakfast on offer is a must, using locally sourced ingredients. The rooms are also cleaned to a high standard. We were in room 12...

Don't need to say much else really. But, TripAdvisor insists on more. We stayed two nights in 'Room 1'. Everything was faultless, or better. Believe everything everyone says. We will only ever stay here whenever in the area again.

We had an amazing weekend at Windermere, the weather was beautiful, the lakes were gorgeous and we stayed at The Hideaway ! Fabulous hotel and Richard and Lisa lovely people - especially Richard in his apron 😊 we don't usually return to hotels, once we have been, but would definitely consider returning here - thank you so much.
