My daughter and I were looking forward to a weekend convention in Blackpool and had booked 3 nights, in a twin room at the Savoy. The photos on the website made it look lovely. The reviews that I saw online were not very complimentary but I thought....how bad can it be. The hotel must have been really lovely, in it's...

We stayed here on our trip to Blackpool as a family with our young (6yrs) son. The hotel is very grand and the entrance, halls, restaurant are all in good condition and well maintained. Plenty of free on street parking as the car park is very small and there were no spaces. Hotel has a lift and number of floors...

After reading others' reviews I was a bit apprehensive. The twin room was not booked by us but by organiser of a function we attended at the hotel. We had a first floor twin room at the rear, I think, of the hotel. The en suite room was very large & spacious & so was the en suite. It looked...

Booked last minute saw the lovely looking building and thought wow, but then we arrived and entered the hotel and knew straight away this was going to be bad, the reception staff were not at all friendly and then we were given our rooms, we were sent to the top floor as far as the lift went and then had...

Just returned from a night at the Savoy. I was slightly worried after reading some of the reviews. We were pleasantly surprised..... We had booked a family room because we had taken our grandson. The room was plenty big enough and appeared to have been recently painted and new curtains. Decent size bathroom. All of the bedding and towels were...

Frozen in bedroom which was noisy due to poorly-fitted windows. Bed was not comfortable. Self-service, overpriced and low quality meals. Staff good. No extractor fan in bathroom. We were not given the nuber of towels which we were promised so had to ask for extra. There was no wi-fi above the ground floor. The TV was on the wrong wall.

There are areas that need renovation. It is a long standing hotel and I was so pleased to see that they had kept some of the old features like the clock, stairway and Mackintosh windows. There is a small lift that you could fit a wheelchair into and they have ramps into the hotel and generally access for the mobility...

I should know to go to Blackpool with low expectations, but every time I go I'm surprised how bad it is. Unfortunately this hotel wasn't great. It may have been grand in its past, but now it is tired, and a little neglected. There were stains on the wall, the carpet hadn't been hoovered in some time, and I was...

Room was a twin room it was big but the decor and carpet need sorting as dirty and worn. The bathroom was clean ish but the shower went from boiling hot to freezing cold and thats when...
