I recently stayed at this hotel for a weekend away as I had heard it had good facilities and was a popular hotel. Having spent 3 nights there I was left with very mixed feelings. I am from the south and am used to the somewhat plush and sophisticated hotels of the South Coast. This is very much a Northern...

After visiting the Queens I can now say that it has improved a lot, the evening entertainment could be improved but the food was reasonable, although still feel discriminated as a vegetarian having to order my dinner at breakfast. The rooms have really improved and are satisfactory for short visits, make sure you run the tap for a reasonable time...

Friendly hotel that is in need of another facelift. Room was a reasonable size with a comfortable bed, one easy chair, one desk type chair a wardrobe and a desk with the TV being wall mounted. Very noisy floor in the corridors and most rooms. Shaver light not working in the bathroom, and an extremely noisy fan in the bathroom,...

Problems ranged from room allocations, booking in times,...

Paid over £2000 for a group booking and was extremely disappointed with the service from the staff. Rude and unhelpful restaurant staff especially Daniel the head waiter. A member of our party received a desert with plastic in it. We asked 3 separate members of staff for a replacement desert and our party member didn't receive one when I informed...

Just returned from 3 night Easter break on a bed and breakfast stay. Room was clean, shower was good and bed and pillows were excellent. Staff, especially Tracey in the restaurant, were pleasant and welcoming. Entertainment was good on Sat night but a bit hit and miss Sun night but everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves.
