A great welcome from the staff on arrival The rooms are in a separate building to the Hungary horse so reducing the noise, The rooms were clean and tidy with tea making facilities and a comfortable bed. Very good value for money Will be staying again soon

Always welcomed by the staff and the hungry horse pub certainly knows how to fill you up. I would say that the rooms do need a bit of TLC especially the bathrooms. In saying that they were very comfortable and warm. Will definitely be visiting there again.

Having popped in because our usual pub has closed for a refurb - we thought we'd give this place a try. First impressions not great as the place is tired and needs updating, but I have to say the staff and the managers were great - greeted at the door with smiles, directed us to a table to fit the...

Fish and chip Friday was ....great fresh and crispy fish with nice white meat the rest of the big plate was good apart from the average chips. But the Sunday roast on our next visit was poor with cold veg and the beef was from a packet or tin it was not off a joint, so for me no more...

Awful food, awful service. Staff look miserable, food is cheap and tastes like cardboard. Would not recommend anyone eat here, you will be disappointed. Wouldn't recommend the Scampi; a meal that I usually love. It's overcooked and is too chewy. Chips are just shoved on and the mushy peas is stale and cold most of the time.

Comical stay. You don't expect a lot for £50 including breakfast. Having stayed last year I knew not to try the breakfast. I knew not to even stay, but there were about 60 in our group, all slumming it. And after a few beers any old pit will do. Even, The Mill. The organiser of our group stay had been...

Festive decorations, very friendly staff. Didnt have rocking rudolph which was a shame. Had plenty on tap. Sat down, had a few beers. Reasonable prices. Wicked outdoors for the summer. Impressed. Great family place to go.

I booked a night at the Mill on the Soar as we were going to visit relatives. Family room for me, partner and our 6yr old daughter. After booking I read some of the reviews.... I was worried but so glad we didn't cancel. The hotel was slightly dated but it is an old country hotel and pub. It was...
