Ate here for lunch today as part of group of 4. 2 of our first choice meals weren't available (large steaks) and the other (fajita) was underwhelming when it arrived - Peppers and onions were on ration and certainly not enough to put in a tortilla. Our chinese curry was good though and the smaller steaks were well cooked. Perhaps... More

8 of us went for a meal, I ordered a medium-rare sirloin that came out 10 minutes after everyone else's. 2 had already finished their meals by the time the other meals came out. My steak was burnt- not medium rare. Food took very long time, waiters were very slow and not helpful. I ordered a pudding after which the... More

We've been to Mill on the Soar before and have previously enjoyed the family friendly setting. Unfortunately today's visit was extremely disappointing. Had I been allowed to, this review would have zero stars. We arrived after the lunch rush but it still took about 50 minutes for the tables around us to be cleared. This attracted flies and did not... More

Met for coffee with friends which turned into lunch. There is a decent play area outside if the weathers fine and not a bad menu for children if they want the standard chicken nuggets style choice. The coffee is truly awful, so definitely won't recommend you try it; however the menu which has the usual chain pub offers was good... More

A last minute decision to pop in for a quick lunch with one of the Granddaughters , food & service excellent although the restaurant was not full by any means ,but still busy. A week later, we went in again O what a mistake, approximately the same volume of customers as on our previous visit, but this time the organisation... More

We had been looking for accommodation for a couple of hours when we came across this venue. The service at reception was somewhat ordinary, because no one wanted to serve us, but the guy who finally did so was very good and helpful. The price for the room was very moderate. The room itself was okay but a bit outdated... More

We were told 35 min wait on food. Waited hour and half after complaing 3 times. All we got was sorry then messed up with desserts. The table next to us was close to a 2 hour wait. not even a free drink offered. Would not visit again.

Staff failed to mention there could be a long wait. 35 minutes later our food finally arrived albeit with no cutlery to be found. Asked the waitress for cutlery and she said, "No problem" and disappeared! Managed to find another waitress who quickly returned with some cutlery. By then, the food had gotten cold and had to be sent back.... More

We ate here, my son and myself on the night of the referendum vote. The place looks like it needs a seriously good deep clean. Filthy tables and carpets and just a general feeling of grime. To be fair our food was ordered quickly but took 40 mins to come. I had salmon and sweet chilli sauce which was really... More
