Went here to meet a friend for a drink. Hadn't been for over 20 years, so thought it would be nice to re-visit. WHAT A MISTAKE! The place was deserted. There was a very unpleasant odour when you entered the premises. It looked very run down from the outside and inside - well - the words, dirt, filth and yuck...

Before my visit I booked a table at the Brant Inn because the Stamford Arms had closed for a few weeks due to refurbishment. I was abit apprehensive as I had read some bad reviews on here but thought we would try. After visiting the Brant I was rest assured and had found a new local!! The service was great,...

After booking the place over the phone I checked this website and I saw mixed reviews so I was up for a challenge of writing an accurate review. Upon driving up the grounds looked nice and well attended to. Whilst walking in the pub I noticed that the place is a bit shabby but well cleaned. The staff were friendly...

Stayed here for a couple nights while visiting friends in Leicester... The rooms were great, they aren't 5* but you aren't paying the price for this either. Very reasonable prices generally for drinks & food. The food was very good and the staff were a delight to be around! Over all my stay was very pleasant and I would happily...

Upon entering the building we were met by a damp fusty smell, and decor was very tired. The bar person advised us immediately that up to 6 items were not available on the menu - good...

I stayed at this hotel some ten years ago and it was very pleasant. This visit was a nightmare. The room was dirty and there was an undefined but noticable odour. There was black mould arond the windows and in the grouting of the shower room. The windows needed cleaning. The light in the ceiling was not working. The carpet and...

We regularly visit this part of Leicester and normally stay at the Premier just down the road from The Brant. However, although the rooms there are great, we don't like the pub that's with it, so we thought we'd give The Brant a try. Well, the room was large and airy and very cheap. It had a comfortable bed, a...

I have to say....I was a little apprehensive about having our Wedding here, but it was close, convenient for family and friends to get to and I like old Victorian style pubs/inns rather than something like the Holiday Inn as a wedding venue, Plus the price was reasonable. I dealt with Chris the Manager, who is also the head chef....
