Went for a conference across from the hotel. On arrival the systems has gone down and we were struggling to check in, we were offered a complimentary drink till they could find us a room, so went for food and came back later to get the drink when we finally got checked in. I had been given a wet room and due to a bad back asked if I could switch to a room with a bath. Advised they were full and nothing could be done. In the mean time my colleague checked in and found a dirty sock over her smoke alarm which she rang down to complain about. They came to remove the sock and offer a new room. (how?) Since this occurred I then checked my room fully, to make sure it had been cleaned properly. One of the pillows was marked so I moved to one side and didn't use. Tired by this point I just went to sleep. Next morning went down to breakfast and had the full English, luke warm but OK. Went to get a glass of apple juice and found some form of slug mark on the glass. At this point we gave up and went to conference. Definitely one I won't be staying at again. Our experience just gave the place a dirty feeling for the whole place. This was things we saw. What happens behind closed doors? …
Stayed here for a weekend away in Liverpool. Easy and quick check in and free parking outside, if you can get a space, we did, so no extra cost. Our room had fab views over to the big wheel and across the Mersey. It was clean, maybe a bit tired but overall good. Bed was comfy and it was quiet, for such a central location. Everything within walking distance, right on Albert Dock, lots of restaurants around and reasonably priced for a city. Do try Rosa's Thai, excellent. Breakfast was standard, but reasonably priced and you could eat as much as you want, so £12 was good. Rooms has tea and coffee facilities. All in all, it was a good hotel, staff were polite and friendly, nice bar area. Would stay again. 👍
Hotel is lovely, I have stayed before when it was Jurys. Room clean and beds very comfortable. Couple of issues.. The lighting in the bedrooms is too dull, you really struggle to put makeup on or do your hair, lovely for ambience but rubbish for practicality. You cant use the bathroom as after a shower you cant use the mirror and with three women sharing a room it was hard work. The breakfast was average and cold, didnt enjoy that at all
Best value hotel In liverpool for a treble room at time of booking. Breakfast good value, room large and clean. For the price and central location, right next to liverpool wheel, I can’t complain. Staff friendly and we were offered free coffee vouchers from the costa downstairs which was a nice touch. I would return.
On arrival reception a bit blunt and quick to move onto next guest, asked about parking and told down the road. The hotel itself is nice, the rooms are not too bad , a bit dimly lit maybe, air-con will only go as low as 19’c but was comfortable enough. Breakfast was nice, part of a groupon deal, but wouldn’t pay the £12.50 they charge. The big downside is parking, as we were using it as a base to see Liverpool we had to go in and out of the car park a few times which cost us about £46 for 2 nights there. The car park do cap the overnight price to £12 but it still adds up and would put me off staying there again.
I travelled by car with my family from Ireland to Liverpool in November.i got to hotel couldn’t find a carpark so I went to reception for help and was informed that the hotel does not have a car park but i could use the car park which was some distance away and an additional charge… as you can imagine I wasn’t happy especially after traveling so far. At checkin I wanted to pay for two rooms with cash and the receptionist refused to take cash which is ridiculous and I had to pay by card only…same applied in their restaurant and bar…all card only…. What if I hadn’t a card on me??? Cash is legal tender and people should have a choice to pay by cash or card. I didn’t see any stipulations or signs regarding card only payments anywhere at time of booking or in the hotel for that matter. I will not be staying at any Jurys Hotel after this.…
Where to begin! The room was like a crime scene. Not sure if it was blood or vomit all over the floor so asked to move rooms. Lady at reception was very apologetic and moved me to another room. The new room was shabby, lamp didnt work and there wasn't a main light, but no sign of bodily fluids so that was positive. There was no toilet roll in the bathroom - surely this is an essential? This was a recurring theme with the absence of toilet roll in the public toilets on the first floor -perhaps we were supposed to bring our own? The gent behind the bar was either intoxicated or under the influence of drugs. He told me there wasn't any pinot, then picked up a random bottle of wine and said that was all he had so i told him that was ok. I went up for another glass of wine and the same barman asked me for ID -I'm almost 40 and the years have not been kind-a bit unusual as he had already sold me a glass of wine. By good luck I happened to have my drivers license with me so things could proceed. He then asked me did I want pinot, to which I reminded him that he had told me a few minutes before that he didn't have any. He changed his mind and now had the pinot! Things were getting uneasy, his eyes were glazed over and he appeared very confused. The 2nd floor had drunken people howling and shouting until 4am so I got absolutely no sleep. Someone had spat chewing gum onto the floor in the lift- an early morning treat. The food was completely inedible with much of it absolutely laced with salt. I would say it was the filthiest hotel I've ever stayed in and the worst hotel experience I've ever had. If I could give it zero stars I would.…
Stayed in the hotel for one night and was pretty satisfied for the amount of money we paid. The rooms were clean and in good condition and the beds extremely comfortable. We paid extra for breakfast which we both enjoyed. My only slight critical comment would be the lack of personality and customer service the reception staff seemed to have.No friendly chat or warm greetings when we arrived and no interest in our stay when we checked out.To me these are things that highlight the quality of a hotel and for that I've marked it down a star.Customer care should always be paramount.
Really lovely stay at Leonardo. It was lovely and clean and did the job. Only downside was it was quite noisy. We could hear pretty much the room next door’s conversations but this isn’t the fault of the hotel. We really enjoyed our stay!
Stayed here a few years ago and it was very comfortable however the standards have slipped dramatically. The rooms are small for the high price they are charging, lots of stains on carpets throughout. The breakfast is poor and over priced. We won't be returning again
