I stayed at the New York penthouse apartment in October 2022 for my hen doo. The apartment itself was ok but could do with a bit of touch up as it was looking tired. When you’re paying a lot of money, it could have least have a handle on the bathroom door! One of the windows in one of the bedrooms had a gap so you could hear all the noise from the street and also tescos below, oh & not forgetting the noise from the bin men emptying the 2 large skips below the window, this lead to no sleep what so ever. Mix this with apartments either side blasting out music all night and a large extractor outside another window. These apartments aren’t fit for sleep! We had also booked bottomless brunch in the Shankly hotel which we were really looking forward to but only after to chatting to the girl at check in, she asked me what our plans were, when I told her about the shankly, she advised me it was no longer being held there & had been moved. They moved it to the Arthouse. When we arrived for said brunch, it wasn’t what we booked, it was a poor version of afternoon tea. When I spoke to one of the girls who worked there to advise her we had someone with food allergy’s, I was then met with an attitude and it was my fault that I hadn’t notified them of this. Not one person in the process of booking the bottomless brunch asked me about allergy’s let alone advise me that they had moved the bottomless brunch location and switch it to afternoon tea. They then made my friend feel awful as they said if we want to fix this, we’d have to wait at least 20 mins to sort it. The attitude was appalling when the afternoon tea wasn’t exactly what we had booked in the first place. Needless to say, the didn’t cater for my friend. Upon checkout I was asked for feedback so I gave it and had a chat and explained our experience. I was promised a phone call within a couple of days but that never happened. They’ve got the money so it seems they don’t really care. This was no where near worth the money we paid and I wouldn’t recommend staying here unless you’re planning to just party all night and not sleep.

We came here for 2 nights for a friends hen party, there were around 25 of us. After watching the video online of this apartment we were all excited to get in there - but we couldn’t believe what we experienced. It is a damp, dirty, mouldy dungeon. Nothing like what is advertised on social media / YouTube. As soon as you walk through the door you are hit with an awful damp smell and the smell gets stronger and stronger as you walk down the stairs. The bed sheets were wet and damp and there was a significant amount of mould on the curtains in the bedrooms. Because most walls / ceilings are painted black the mould is very cleverly hidden. We were in shock at how much mould there was and we had to sleep in that room. This apartment needs some kind of ventilation it is not safe to stay in with no windows or fresh air! Thank god for phone torches because it was the only way we could get around the apartment as it was so dark and dismal. There is only 3 toilets in the whole apartment and it’s advertised for 30 people. Bags that we had brought with us were wet and damp when we touched them a few hours after we had arrived. There was even horrible brown liquid oozing out of the walls and upon informing a cleaner all she did was wipe it away and then leave! Very very disappointed. Please please avoid booking this apartment.

Signature Living are amazing!!!! We had a hen do planned for August 2021 and despite staff shortages due to COVID, the team here bent over backwards to keep our plans on track and even enhanced the experience with a few little extra and their welcoming spirit. At every turn, at every event, the staff were incredible and our package meant that everyone had the time of their lives. People still talk about it a year later! Thank you so much!

After having the hen party postponed for 2 years it was an absolute delight to finally have the hen party. The apartment was a lovely size and very bright. I was a little bit worried after seeing some of the reviews however we all had a great time. Fab location to bars, restaurants, train station and shops. The rooms were perfect and comfortable, plenty of spare linen for the day beds. The dishwasher wasn’t working so would have liked to have been left a sponge or something to wash up with but that is actually my only complaint. Plenty of hot water for showers. Checking in was super easy as well. I would definitely think about staying in one of these apartments again.

The Vault - damp, dingy, dungeon next to the train line. Took 4 1/2 hours to fill the bath but the water was cold so we couldn’t have the pool party we’d planned. One of the toilets constantly leaked and the bedding was damp and smelt. The walls are painted black, probably to hide the mould and the heating doesn’t work. Despite being advertised as having Wifi, there is none! Customer service from Signature living……..non existent! Can’t get hold of them via phone and get fobbed off via email (taking several days to reply!). There are lots of other places to books/agents to use.

Having been out in charge of organising a very close friends 40th, I really thought I had found the perfect apartment booked through the Shankly Hotel. Communication was poor from the start, I was expecting to pay my final balance in November, no one contacted me until January, even though I had tried several times to get in touch. Once I had paid the balance, which they got wrong, I was told to check in at The Art House Hotel as the apartment I had booked was not located in The Shankly Hotel. One of the girls in the group had purposely turned up in plenty of time as I was travelling from Essex, she phoned us to say The Art House looked close, but perhaps they open up at 3pm ready for check in, anyway she found a bar opposite and waited for me to arrive. I arrive around 15.30 and it was the same situation, The Art House looked very much closed and no sign on the door. By this time another couple had turned up waiting on more friends to arrive with no clue either, the guy had been in December and there was no problem. I then went into a few of the bars surrounding and asked if anyone knew what the deal was, sadly they didn’t but someone in the bar my friends were in said that The Shankly owned a bar down the road, so off I went, I spoke to a very nice lady who said there was a manager upstairs in a meeting and she took my number, in the meantime I had ordered a taxi to make my way over to The Shankly Hotel so find out what was going on, taking the young girl I had just met with me. Whilst in the taxi I got a call from Steve, who was a manager,-and said that The Art House was closed due to staff having COVID and I was sent an email telling me to check in at The Shankly and I should have received a phone call. I did get the email, which does say to check in at The Shankly Hotel but there was no mention that the reason was because The Arthouse was shut and also having been told on the phone that week not to go to The Shankly, why would I do that? I also never received a phone call. Steve said he wouldn’t take a damage fee from me and would sort out some Prosecco to be delivered. We then get to the correct apartment, which was alright, clearly used for partying, mould on the ceilings, some of the rooms had no heating, my TV didn’t work in the bedroom, the projector in the kitchen area didn’t work either. I had food to make for 12 people which was very hard with the limited pans available, I guess they think most people booking it won’t cook. So now because of all the waiting around the birthday girl literally arrived and was told to get ready as we had to be at Bongo’s Bingo in an hour. Due to our lateness we couldn’t all get on the same table, which was annoying, but we had fun none the less. The next day Steve comes with more heaters and gets us a TV to mount on the wall, give him his dues he must love his job as he was very helpful and clearly tried to keep me happy. The last day, we return from a roast dinner mid afternoon to find the door code has been changed, the phone number on the sign doesn’t work and Steve wasn’t answering his phone. I called The Shankly Hotel and luckily wasn’t left waiting 45 minutes like previous attempts and managed to speak to someone who told me the code had changed and gave me the new one. Steve then called me back and said it had only been changed 5 minutes ago and I was about to receive a text message, whether that’s the case or not I don’t know, but it was just yet another problem and another embarrassment to me as the organiser. If you want somewhere central you can sleep and don’t care about a nice finish or a TV working, or being able to cook for the amount of people it sleeps then the Iconic apartment is fine, but I would not pay £2,900 again for something of that standard and the customer service is shocking. All it needed was a sign on the Art House door informing people what had happened and a number to call. Credit where credit is due Steve Morgan was very helpful and a really nice bloke as was Ross who came with him to fix the TV. Thankfully I don’t have divas for friends and we are laughing about it now, Friday at 15.30 was another story!

Me and a few friends stayed here and were excited from the professional pics online of our stay for the night. We arrived to what only reminded us of outdated abounded house. As soon as we entered the room we were hit with a stench of damp, wet and a horrendous smell from The drains. NO heating and bed sheets damp from how cold it is not to mention stickiness on the floor from the dirt. We tried to grin and bare it but found ourselves avoiding being there all together. The bathrooms were avoided at all costs from the horrendous smell from drains.electric heater didn’t work and some plug sockets. Place requires refurbished as it’s nothing like the pics online.

Worse Customerservice I’ve ever ever revived. Rude, ignorant staff. Over priced rooms that are outdated, dirty and cheap looking. Ive stayed at signature living apartments 3 times (due to other parties booking them, NOT myself as I learnt from the first time) and ever single time has been horrendous. The first time I stayed all the power went off in our room and we had to change rooms at 2am after paying almost £500 for a room. No compensation or apologies were giving. The second time we had to be put into a different room as they had no record of our £315 booking. Again staff not apologetic and we’re Severely rude to party members. The third time, we were charged an extra £300 on top of the £300 we paid for our room. They gave up the incorrect room key and then charged us the deposit. Numerous of phone calls and emails, it’s like talking to a brick wall. Not to mention how many phone calls it took to get through to them regarding rebooking our room due to Covid. Do not waste your time at this hotel, so many nicer apartment to stay in for such a better price without rude arrogant staff members.

I’ve stayed at signature living apartments before and they were good enough but whatever you do, avoid THE VAULT as though your life depends on it. I stayed at the vault for a friends hen do a couple of weeks ago and I’ve only just recovered from the trauma to write this review. The hen do had been rearranged twice over the last 2 years due to covid so as you can imagine, we were all buzzing to arrive in Liverpool and get stuck into a weekend of getting dressed up, boozing and partying. When you arrive at the vault and open the door, the smell suddenly hits you; think damp, mould and foist. The smell only gets worse as you walk deeper into the vault. As a group of individuals that try to make the best out of a situation, we managed to grin and bare it during the evening before we went out. However, we returned at about 3am to no electricity, no air and moist bed sheets - something that nobody wants to return to after a night out. The next morning the electricity still wasn’t back on and we were basically sat hungover in a wet, black hole. It’s very clever of them to paint the walls black as I imagine this hides the mould very well. I think if you put a dehumidifier in one of the rooms in the vault it’d be full in about 3 seconds. Leaving the vault the next day was like being released from a dungeon and we were keen to get out into civilisation and fresh air. When we returned that evening we thought we’d sample the “pool”. Dread to think what came out of those taps but a few of us didn’t care by this point and sat in a hot puddle for about 2 hours waiting for it to fill. It took this length of time to fill to ankle height so we soon got fed up and all gathered in one bedroom to listen to the mother of the bride make a speech (IYKYK). Anyway, we survived the ordeal and if this was a social experiment (which I can imagine could be it’s only potential use for a bit of good TV), we have come out of the vault stronger than we were before. You’ve been warned xoxox
