First time in Liverpool and staying here was a great introduction to the city. Great location for walkers, and has tons of lovely restaurants and bars around. It’s on a very lively street so if you like quiet nights probably don’t stay here lol Cool decor and brilliant facilities. Super friendly staff but there was random ketchup sludges all over the walls, which I found amusing but I imagine others won’t… Overall really liked this hotel but it’s definitely seen some wild nights!

Paid very inflated price as there is concert on this weekend. Definitely not value for money. Location is very central. Room is very spacious, but feels dark. Stains on carpet curtains, only 2 pillows and towels. The room needs a bit of tlc in general. And the noise from the bars and club downstairs is immense. I'm writing this at gone midnight with ear plugs in. Absolutely no chance of sleep. You can hear the music whilst in the shower and I mean you can feel it. Not sure when all this will stop. I'm a night person so will sit it out with earplugs in. But if want to sleep and not hear thumping music till middle of the night, then really need to look elsewhere. I really am not exaggerating. Also they take £50 off your credit card on check in which they will refund days later if you haven't broken anything in the room. Never had that before and feel it's a bit unfair. And all those £50s sitting in their account for a few days can't be bad for them. Will definitely not be using this hotel again, just thankful I'm only here for 1 night.

Clean, spacious and ell equipped room (Dyson fan a welcome addition) with a very comfy decent sized bed and a quality shower. Big screen TV with the ability to link to devices meant that I could watch my current boxset to close out the day. Friendly staff - a good experience.

Let’s start with the positives, the room was modern and decorated well and the location is perfect for shopping and Matthew street. The not so positive points The “king size” bed had possibly a single or small double sheet on spread widthways on the bed!! The room had no Air con even in October the room was hot at night The towels wouldn’t fit around a teenager never mind an adult, no towel supplied for the tiled bathroom floor The mugs in the room were not cleaned Massive stains on the carpet Such a shame because this could be epic but it a no return from us!!

Location was great, the room itself was not. The bed was comfortable and the toilet and shower were clean. The room was really dark. Fan in the bathroom was coated with dust that fell when we turned on the light, towel warmer did not work, and mini bar empty. The room provided a floor fan which was wonderful because there was no air conditioning. Breakfast at mason’s was great. The buffet that was detailed in the room description was not available.

Dear jenniferlY5862VO, Thank you for taking the time to review your recent stay with us, feedback such as yours is extremely important to us as it helps the hotel to identify areas for improvement which helps ensures all our guests have an EPIC experience. I will ensure your comments with regards to the cleanliness of the room are passed onto our housekeeping team and will ensure they address this as a matter of urgency. I do apologies that you found the room to be dark, the hotel does have floor to ceiling windows in all rooms which most of our guest find let in a lot of natural light into the room, with regards to the chargeable mini bar in the room all items have been removed in line with our COVID 19 guidelines, however these items are available from reception if required. Again, thank you for your feedback and we do hope to see you again soon and do not forget to book direct by emailing reservations@epichotels.co.uk to receive a 15% return guest discount. Thank you Team EPIC
