Amazing staff at this great hotel. This is a perfect hotel in a perfect location on Albert Docks, Liverpool. This is my second visit with my elderly parents in the last 6 months. My daughter is in University in Liverpool so we travel over to see her and stay the night. My Dad is 85 and needs and accessible room and disabled parking. Their facilities are wonderful. We are able to park directly outside the door in a disabled bay (we do pay a parking fee for this). A wonderful lady called Tasha has helped us on both our stays. She arranged our parking space and helped us with our luggage. Nothing is too much trouble for her, so grateful. Our rooms were on the 2nd floor which were close to reception if we needed anything. Breakfast is included in the price and again the staff are lovely and friendly. It includes cereals, mini muffins, fruit, yogurt etc and also a hot buffet with toast - couldn’t wish for better. Lovely dining area and also a cosy bar area. We’ll be back again soon - thanks again to all the staff. …
Great hotel has potential to be even better! Parking for this hotel isn't great. 10 minute walk to Liverpool One Q Park. If you're lucky you might get pay and display outside the hotel but don't count on it. The rooms need a bit of updating in the sense there are signs of water damaged around skirting boards in the bathroom and there's an overwhelming smell of sewage in the bathrooms. I don't think this hotel is far from 5 stars! Just attention to detail makes me score a respectable 4. I'd recommend anyone to stay here. It is a very good hotel and great staff!
We stayed here for 4 nights for my birthday. It is an excellent location in The Alert Dock and our room had a good view over the dock towards the river. The room was quite spacious for this type of hotel and the long settee opposite the TV made for easy viewing of the screen. Breakfast is included and although the selection is not huge it is more than adequate. All the staff were extremely pleasant and helpful and the one night when we returned after a visit to the Everyman Theatre without managing to find somewhere to eat before the performace they were lifesavers as they will cook a fresh pizza for you up to midnight (I think).
Started good with early check-in. Albert Dock view. Large comfy, cleanroom. Good breakfast, plenty of choice. Location good, city y centre within easy walking distance. Nice bars and restaurants nearby. Parking just out front £20 for 24hrs.
Location is very good at Albert dock. The entrance to the hotel is not so comfortable with suitcases on wheels. In order to reach the room we needed to pass many doors, also not very comfortable with suitcases. Room is good refering its price. Bed was too much soft. Breakfast is basic. The service of the staff was very good.
Spotlessly clean, large rooms, great location and views, helpful and good breakfast. The only criticism is that the hotel was very large and quite a long walk to to the room, although not much they could do about that.
Advertised phone line is over a £1 a minute and due to hotel booking system I had to spend 9 minutes on phone costing £15 The check in staff charged one of our party twice The hotel reception is on the second floor which is not terribly helpful
Stayed at this hotel when we went to watch a show at the M&S Arena. The online booking process was simple, and the contact centre staff were helpful regarding disabled parking on site. The hotel was clean and staff were great from the moment we arrived. The room is basic, which suited us for the purpose of our stay. The only gripe was the mattress was a bit soft for my liking, although I managed to get a restful night. Breakfast the following morning had plenty of choice, and the staff worked hard to turn tables around during the busy period. We will definitely stay again next time we're in Liverpool.
Stayed here as we were watching Peter Kay at the MandS Bank Arena. Lovely hotel, right by the arena and surrounded by bars and places to eat. The Cavern Club and the Empire theatre were only a 20 minute walk away as well. No specific parking at the hotel but a good few spaces directly outside by the Dock (we paid £20 a day and left the car where we could see it from the hotel). Room (211) was huge with a comfy bed and good sized bathroom with great shower. Only downside in our room was the lack of light over the main mirror where the hairdryer was. The room was cleaned on the 2nd day of out 2 night stay. Breakfast was lovely....hot Englush Brekky buffet, cereal, fruit, pastries, toast and the coffee out of the machine was actually decent. All in all, I cannot complain about a single thing. Perfect for a short break in Liverpool. 👍 …
My wife and I stayed at the Holiday Inn for one night B&B. We arrived slightly earlier than originally booked, but GINA at reception was excellent. She couldn’t have done more, and booked us in early, in a very professional, friendly manner and with a welcome touch of humour. Our room was nice and big, clean and the bed was comfortable. All the staff were lovely, professional, and efficient and couldn’t do more to help us in every way. Keep up the good work and thank you all, and a special thanks to Gina. We will definitely come back to The Holiday Inn, Albert Dock. Thank you.
