We booked 2 rooms at the Liverpool lodge during mid February through booking.com for a birthday weekend away. Before our trip we looked at the reviews on trip advisor and became very concerned after reading such awful review. However...I honestly do not understand why the reviews were so bad because our stay at the Liverpool lodge was fantastic! We stayed...

This is not a hotel, it is a hostel. Booked with Expedia and advertised as a hotel. The reviews on their booking site did not reflect the percentage of poor reviews on Tripadvisor! I wish I had read those first! The poor reviews were all correct - what more can I say. I will not be using Expedia or Liverpool...

Nothing more could be added except the small hand towels when used made your hands more dank then after use of small towel provided. The member of staff there was friendly and helpful. He understood why one night was enough kept apologizing. Police sirens and fighting outside meant no sleep.

Pros: - Close to Anfield - clean - Basic but palatable breakfast - lady owner was very nice and helpful when we arrived Having said that staying here was a pretty surreal experience. I wasn't expecting the Hilton for £79 but i don't think I'm being a decadent toff to expect towels bigger than a teatowel and a second pillow...

Good, basic b&b with very friendly staff. No frills but clean and comfortable, with a help yourself continental breakfast and free WiFi. Some rooms have no ensuite but there are bathrooms on all but the top floor. Free parking on street 24/7. Excellent value for money. Will definitely use again.

Stayed in Liverpool for an early appointment in the morning. Paid for a single room but got a double, which was nice. There was a gift/snack basket in the room, which is more than you got at Travelodge. TV had full freeview channels, but no satellite channels, nor as was advertised on booking.com. The room and building was very warm...

rooms small with no windows and no coffee making facilities, communal toilets/showers. Staff are friendly but their hands are tied. This is more of a bed sit than a guesthouse and should not be advertised as such, the description and reviews on booking.com are misleading. Our friends room had an England duvet cover on....say no more

Can safely say without any doubt, it is possibly the worst place I have ever stopped. It shouldn't even be on any hotel website as it's basically a DHSS bedsit..booked for 2 nights left after 1 night, don't know how we stopped that long. Rooms appalling, breakfast appalling, bathroom appalling. Ample parking is the street outside. I wouldn't even drive...

I made a provisional booking as I had to attend event in Liverpool. I don't know Liverpool so was trying to find place near event. Didn't realise would be fully charged if cancelled no matter how early you booked. Called to talk to ask about this policy as £190 was taken as a result! Spoke to a really unhelpful, unsympathetic...

Great position, well it's a walk to Anfield. However that was as good as it got. This 3* Hotel, I don't think so £200 for one night. No on-suite,off you trot to the toilet down the hall, no tea or coffee making facilities, the beds were out the ark and the headboards well rotten at their best, however the cleanness...
