Totally underwhelmed, £62.50 for a tiny single room, felt very claustrophobic My Daughter paid the same for a double. Hotel is past its sell by date and needs a refurb and felt grubby. My room was above the external smoking area so had to put up with that noise. Kept getting loud noises when running taps or flushing the loo...

Accommodation was standard, room, bed was standard. Shower was no great as pressure was very bad. Cleanness was standard. Location, great got walking, near by park and church grave yard. Sunday roast looked delicious and good value for money however the breakfast was disappointing, below standards something you find in weatherspoons, wouldn't recommend at all. Would probably stay again but...

We stayed here for two nights whilst visiting Liverpool. The hotel is easy to find on the outskirts of Liverpool. There is a frequent bus service to the city centre from a bus stop a few minutes walk from the hotel. The accommodation was good, spacious & clean. Breakfast was included with the room & this good. The hotel also...

Well I am a local and I visit reasonable regulary but as I sit in the beer garden I feel that I need to vent my spleen. Walked here with the dogs obtained a seat in the beer garden which is dog friendly. Walked inside one very young lad serving at a snails pace. I was the only other customer...

First impressions not good, as we entered the building the first thing we noticed was a strong smell of stale beer, The "reception" is in fact part of the bar, and when the manager came to book us in I couldn't help but notice the clothes he was wearing were quite dirty. however the room wasn't too bad , the...

I booked a table for 15 people at 3.30pm on 4th September, 2016, prior to a baptism service at the nearby All Saints Church. I booked the table six weeks previously and then made a further two phone calls to confirm the booking, since we were such a large party and it was an important event. The last phone call...

On the positive side, this is a pub/restaurant within a lovely, historic building (possibly a listed building) in calm and peaceful surroundings in one of the more affluent suburbs of Liverpool. Prices for food and drink are reasonable. Views from the beer garden are very pleasant and, on the whole, there is a really good atmosphere, family friendly and a...

Let me start off by saying that I have grown up locally and been going to the Abbey since I was a child! I even bought my first pint here aged 16 or so.. Moved away from the area but my family are still local. I've always had fond thoughts of the Abbey and I love the setting.. However, today...

Stayed here for a couple of nights. A good alternative to the city centre hotels and situated in a nice quiet residential area. Rooms are comfortable and the bar meals are very good with plenty of options to suit all tastes. All the staff were very friendly, however, there could have been more in the bar as there were not...

I ordered some non alcoholic drinks from the bar. Outside the lemonade tasted funny and my friends coke was flat I took the drinks back. The male bar staff took it upon himself to "educate me" as he put it not only did he do this he did it In Front of another customer. I kindly thanked him for the...
