Not the best stay we’ve had. On arrival we checked In and it took 2 members or staff to attempt to direct us to the room, and gosh was it a walk to the room itself. Atleast 4 flights of stairs , broken lifts, it was like a maze in there with all these corridors going god knows where. Once we made it to the room it was quite disappointing to be honest. Didn’t expect the world as it is on the cheaper side of hotel rooms however we didn’t expect a room covered in dust, dirt marks all over the walls, chipped paint everywhere you looked and a mess I’ve break in the wall right next to the bed. However the most shocking thing was the fact that there was a minimum of 10 dead bugs in the light fixture at the door. The only saving grace really was the cleanliness of the shower. The bed was quite hard and not the comfiest thing but we were just staying for the one night. Personally I won’t be back And I think the staff need some training in being more warm and friendly and the place definitely needs some TLC, fresh paint everywhere, more care taken to clean and fix the visual damage all the way though the hotel

Brilliant hotel, rooms and hotel were clean and airy. Located in the centre of Liverpool so ideal accommodation. Staff were brilliant and couldn't do enough for us. No kettle in room but they sold hot drinks and snacks at reception and plenty of places local to go for breakfast, Greggs shop next door. Street pedestrianised so can't park outside but car park not far away.

The hotel was in such bad condition, we decided not to stay after less than an hour. We didn’t pay much for it so weren’t expecting the worlds best spot but, this place genuinely didn’t feel safe. There had been a fire the night before, which is no fault of the hotels but, the room was genuinely one of the dirtiest we’ve ever stayed in. The walls in the bedroom were filthy, air con unit was covered in dust, lights didn’t work and the shower paint was peeling and stunk of mold. There was also used helium canisters all over the corridors. Felt really bad for the girl on reception as she was so lovely and helpful, only positive part of the experience was her customer service. Thankfully, receptionist sorted a refund for us and it was much appreciated.

Tune Hotel seems to get a lot of bad reviews. I understand the most recent have been down to issues with the heating. I have just spent two nights here in March ‘23. Thankfully heating has been sorted. That aside, any time I have stayed here, it’s done the job it needs too. A place to sleep, modern power shower, and fantastic location. What else can you expect for the great price they offer?

Stayed here from Friday night to Tuesday morning and couldn’t wait to leave. Decent location, 5/10 minute walk to Matthew Street. Extremely small room with no windows, felt like a jail cell. Not even enough room to put 2 suitcases down on the floor to open them. No drawers, only 2 hangers on the walls. No tea/coffee facilities, broken TV, no bulb in lamp. No 24 hour reception which made it hard getting in after a late night. Lift was broken at a stage with a girl getting stuck in it for half an hour. When asking reception about broken tv and how small the room was and if there was any chance on swapping rooms (willing to pay extra) the man at the reception desk was very rude and unhelpful. Modern bathroom but again extremely small, when sitting on the toilet your knees touched the door. Lock on bathroom door also didn’t work. Shower tray was dirty/ stained (see pictures) Walls in the room were stained and dirty, hand prints/ finger marks. (See picture) Hairs on bed/pillows. Floor was dusty and dirty especially around the bed. Bed was very uncomfortable, could feel the springs and only one pillow each which was rock hard. Room was freezing cold, there was a plug in radiator but with only 1 double socket in the room it meant you couldn’t use hair tools, charge phones etc and have heat. One night it was so cold I actually had to get a shower to heat up. Poor wifi and phone signal. Thin walls, could hear people walking past throughout the night, and people walking on the floor above us. Due to lock on door not working it left us feeling on edge. Long walk around hotel to find room, getting different lifts, up and down stairs, into an empty room and different hall ways. (Understandable because of it being a listed building but would worry about accessibility issues- especially for wheelchair users) Early check out at 10am and cost £4 to hold suitcase for the day. Due to being a budget hotel we didn’t expect much but you can get far better for a lot cheaper. Would not recommend. I never write a review but felt like I should warn people not to waste their money.

I booked a room for February 2, 3, 4 on Agoda for $230 - non-refundable. I arrived at the Tune Hotel and was mortified. I had asked for a higher level room with a window, and received a room overlooking an alley/side street. The safe was non-functional, the walls were scuffed up, the desk lamp did not work and was falling apart, all the coils could be felt through the mattress, and the heater did not work so they had an electric space heater. I used the shower and was soon standing in two inches of water as the drainage system was poor. I cringed at the comforter on the bed - wondering when was the last time it had been cleaned. And, as I had been up 30 hours after travelling from the US, as soon as I tried to sleep the yelling started in the alley way. I got up, dressed, and found a hotel one and a half blocks away - where I stayed for six nights (the Z Hotel). The young lady at the front desk of the Tune Hotel informed me that because I booked though AGODA, and it was non-refundable, I would get none of the money back. I lost $230. I've stayed at the Tune Hotel before. In February of 2018, I stayed several nights and it was great. Eighteen months later in 2019 I stayed several nights and it was "so-so." This time, it was horrible. I'll never go near the Tune Hotel again. It seems to me, that the Tune Hotel is one step above a hostel and for people who want to party and save a buck. If you want to see the room, I posted a video on youtube.

Mixed. One room had a blocked-with-hair sink. WiFi was awful, rooms were frozen cold. OK, it was winter... Place is a rabbit warren. Would hate to be caught in an emergency inside. But you get what you pay for, I guess. Night staff porter was v good.

Let me start with positives first: Great location, there was not much noise in my room, pleasant receptionist and that's pretty much it. Lows: its was very cold, like extremely freezing, but I have asked for extra quilt and got it very swiftly. Cleanness could have been better in the rooms and corridors in need of a good deep clean. Lots of dirty marks on the floor and most of them looked like they have been there a while...

Stayed as a couple for one night. Great location and clean. However and it’s a big however!, no heating in January so you can guess the rest! Asked at reception and was told it was broken but was given a bottle of water as compensation, very strange.

Freezing hotel with no heating at all. Could see your breath in the room. No radiators fitted , had to sleep in my coat . Reception was meant to be 24 h but there was nobody there when my friend got back and couldn’t get in . Not cheap enough for the experience. Avoid!
