We spent three nights here. We were very pleased with the pub and our room. It was clean, conveniently located and surprisingly quiet at night despite the location. I would offer one criticism, our service was spotty. Although the room was clean, it was not...More
My commute into London is just too long to be able to get back after an evening event. I have been using the Fox and Anchor as my London dorm for over a year. Very nice rooms, similar in style and spec to the Hotel...More
Had a brunch option - potato hash, duck egg and ham. It was exceptionally good. That and a glass of house wine cost just over £10. The pub was quite tucked away and quiet on a Friday lunchtime but I was suprised it wasn't busier....More
Great place to stop and have some food and a drink after a day of sightseeing. Yum food. Sat outside and watched London go by.... situated 15 minutes walk from the museum of London and about 20 minutes from the Thames.

Owing to its proximity to Smithfield Market – the site of an ancient meat market which remains in operation today – Clerkenwell boasts a plethora of globally renowned restaurants, fabulous local eateries, and some of London's favorite pubs. This isn't merely a focal point for all things foodie though. Spend enough time wondering through the area's maze of streets and you might become accustomed to the litany of slinky
models passing between Clerkenwell's handful of fashion houses. Far outnumbering the models are craftspeople and designers, many of them are more than happy to welcome visitors into their studios and showrooms.
