Let me start off on a positive note... The booking process and staff were very nice. The location was fantastic. It is located in a residential area and close to several things such as a large mall, bus transportation as well as the subway. LOVED the location. The room was very clean. The view out our window was lovely. Although I am not one to write about negative things I feel like I need to. 1) .It was March and VERY cold in our room. We were told that the hotel heat was regulated outside the hotel and we could not make it warmer. We asked for additional blankets and we were given a thin one. (see photo) . My husband literally would lay our winter coats over us for warmth each evening. 2) . The washrooms in the photos on TripAdvisor were not similar to the antiquated washrooms which we had. If you have any problems with mobility such as raising your leg high than I would make sure you did not get our room. The tub was extremely high to climb over to get in/out of the shower. 3) The breakfast was not what appeared on the website with any type of meats. It was a very limited spread. Honestly, this was our last leg of our two week trip to England and it kind of left us on a sour note. We were happy to be going home which is not something I usually say after a vacation. …
Small and tidy rooms with careful service every day. We had en suite and extra bonus points for renewed well-functioning shower system in bathroom. Breakfast was not very innovative, but edible. A bit far away from underground stations (10-15 mins), but nearest bus stop very close.
A Basic English hotel, clean, En Suite bathroom in a small converted bedroom of a townhouse. Small, but comfortable, Close to Kensington High St. and shops, convenient to Olympia Exhibition Center. Very reasonable Rates, Basic Continental breakfast (Cold ceral & toast). Would definitely stay again.
Room was small, very tidy each day, and comfortable. Old hotel is delightful; pleasant sitting room with fire, tea, fun decor, and games for those who want them. Breakfast ample and pleasant joining others in the breakfast room. Reception was wonderful; our room was ready when we arrived from Heathrow to drop our luggage, and (without our asking) they allowed us into the room at 9 AM, where we were able to nap for a few hours before a dinner engagement. Neighborhood is pleasant; very nice pub/restaurant on the corner across the street. It's a good walk to the nearest Tube stations always in operation, but good exercise! and reception is very helpful sharing how to use the nearby buses into center of London. We were very happy with this choice.
This a charming, cozy hotel in what appears to be a residential district, The owners were very friendly to me and everything was in very good order. However, there were just two minor caveats that I would mention, both related to stocky individuals such as myself. The bathroom I first used upon my arrival is VERY small, and the only way I could fit into it (just barely) was by sucking in my gut. Also, there is no lift, so if you're averse to climbing stairs, you need to take that into account. Having said that, there are several larger bathrooms throughout the hotel, so the small one I encountered is by no means a deal-breaker. Not even the stairs were. In short, I will definitely be considering this hotel in my future travel plans to London,
