I have stayed in Amber Residence quite a few times during the last years, whenever I had to be in London. Their serviced studio apartents including the kitchens are well equipped and enabled me to feel at home. The location is one of the best - close to two underground stations: Baker Street Station and Marble Arch, and Marylebone Statio,...

I arrived at Amber Residence mid February and booked to stay for 11 nights. Following a pleasant reception I was shown my room and to my surprise discovered that is actually a studio flat for a very reasonable price in a central London location with very useful utilities such as internet, microwave, kettle, fridge etc and great transport connections. Throughout...

Excellent choice, glad I stayed at Amber, location was excellent you can be more central than this, at first I was reluctant when I read one review, the manager sent me photos to be sure and I was happy, I stayed on the second floor, no lift the staff was at hand to assist with my luggage and they were...

For a studio flat in central London, where accommodation is usually expensive and not value for money, I can say that this was a positive experience for both of us. We stayed 9 nights altogether at the Amber in two different flats and I can say that it was up to the standard we expect from a three-star hotel. The...

I stayed at Amber Residence for 3 months while I attended school and always found the staff very friendly and accommodating. The facilities are fairly basic but definitely good value for money compared with other hotels on offer around London. The location is excellent, close to Oxford St and the Baker St tube station with supermarkets located nearby in each...

The hotel is strategically located, walking distance to Oxford Street and all the shops. Easily accessible by bus or the tube. But that is where all the good points end. The carpet is threadbare and looks dirty, I was afraid of walking bare feet on it. I had booked a room with a double bed but the room came with...

The carpet was heavily stained and worn, some of the outer large windows were broken and instead of repair an ill-fitting sliding door had been placed in front of the windows. The wind/cold caused the sliding door to rattle all night and made the bedroom chilly. The bathroom was ancient and the shower did not work. The Manager promised to...

Staying in Marylebone

Neighbourhood Profile
Marylebone
Marylebone offers what so many London neighbourhoods cannot: a village feel coupled with urban convenience. Much of its success rests in its location. Wedged between the northeastern corner of Hyde Park and the southern end of Regent's Park and with a number of Tube stations within easy reach, Marylebone is as pedestrian friendly as Central London gets. The bustling shopping mecca of Oxford Street separates it from Soho and Mayfair, exclusive Regent Street marks its border with Fitzrovia, and cosmopolitan Edgware Road serves as its western edge. Within this enviably situated quarter are an array of outstanding restaurants (from Michelin darlings to down and dirty cheeseburgers), an impressive assortment of independently owned shops, and some of the city's quietest and most pleasant nooks, crannies and cobbled lanes.
