Myself and my daughter stayed in this hostel for one night. It was very comfortable, and everything was just right. It wasnt a five star hotel but it was clean, tidy, safe and had a good buzz around the place. All you can eat breakfast was extra but so well worth it. The only complaint about the place is the...

Stayed here with a school group from Bolton as part of an overnight theatre and London experience. It WAS an experience, both positive and negative. The rooms were great for the children , however trying to sleep in a loer bunk was not ideal as an adult. Asked could I swap or change rooms and they said no. Was a...

Hi Andy, Thanks for your review. You say you asked about changing rooms and we said no, I was actually on duty on the day and the hostel was fully booked as it is most days with a Central London Hostel and that is the only reason we could not move you. Im not too sure what you mean about...

We went here and the first thing I thought was: I am not going to enjoy this. I went with a bunch of my friends and when we arrived, we ventured to our room, (Room 14) I put my bags down and then looked around the room. The light in our room was hanging off so that you could see...

This hostel has some positive attributes (very helpful staff, a cozy lounge, great location), but DO NOT let them give you a basement room. My first night there I found rat poop in the bathroom and was woken in the night by a very large rat right beside my bed!!! Make sure you are on an upper floor. And don't...

HI Mad-Cow, Thank you for taking the time to review St Pauls. Im pleased that you found the team helpful however I do need to address the issue of a rat. On Monday a guest made me aware of a mouse in the room at which point we closed the room, called in our pest control company and moved guests...

If you are looking for fancy accomodation, do not come here. If you know what youth hostels are about, be welcome. The hostel is superbly located close to St. Paul´s Cathedral and lots of other nice places nearby - as most of the other travelers have already written numerous times. I've already used a YHA for a trip with my students so I didn't hesitate booking a second time. For a place to stay in Central London at a great price this place can't be beat. The rooms are clean, you don't have to go too far down the corridor to find a loo or shower. The communal areas are...

YHA St Pauls, located right around the corner from the Cathedral down the side road between Yo! Sushi and Strada. I stayed in a 6 bed dorm room (Room 30), which has NO power sockets. YHA St Paul’s is all about location. It is well located for all the Tubes and Buses. It is in the ‘Square Mile’ and the area is very hip. Staying in City of London

Neighbourhood Profile
City of London
From its ancient past as a Roman trading outpost to its 21st century status as the wealthiest square mile in the world, the financial district known simply as “The City” is one of London's most historic and fascinating neighbourhoods. Here high rise office towers such as Norman Foster’s Gherkin mingle with Roman ruins and architectural marvels from virtually every era in between, including Christopher Wren's glorious St.Paul's Cathedral, and John Soane's dauntingly classicist Bank of England. This neighbourhood is also home to some of the finest restaurants and plushest hotels in Europe, in addition to an assortment of of watering holes, upscale shops, and Tube stations. During the week, the City is abuzz with white collar workers going about their business; the weekend sees this area turn into a quiet haven for sightseers.
