Basic hotel/hostel for around £55 a night. Situated above a pub, so noise can be a problem. We were kept awake for some time on a Saturday night due to the music and general noise from the pub below. Rooms are clean, with wardrobe, drawers and a sink. Beds are a little on the small size, think "small single". Slightly... More

Very clean, friendly staff, private bedroom with kettle, sink, TV and wifi. Room smelled a bit fusty, but that's my only complaint. Above pub but not noisy, double glazed window. Shared bathrooms, again very clean, and a big shared kitchen. Ideal cross between a cheap hotel and a decent hostel. I would stay here again

I am not a spring chicken so have visited many hotels over the years but this is definitely up there as the worst I have stayed in. Think dirty, seedy, cheap damaged furniture. The mattress on the bed very thin and uncomfortable. When sitting on the bed the mattress sinks down well below the bed frame so cutting off the... More

Stayed overnight here. On arriving I walked into the bar, which is pretty basic....hmm, I thought, this may not have been the best place to book for my stay... however, the barman perfectly civilly directed me round the corner to the hotel entrance (hotel and bar apparently run as separate businesses). Here I was confronted with a solid looking door... More

Great location next to Charlton station (25 mins into Cannon Street) and buses to the O2 (tube). Basic but clean room and increadibly comfy bed. Free Wifi, TV and tea and coffee. Shared bathroom, but never had to wait for it. Would definitely recommend for a cheap, no frills option.

Booked as a budget hotel and wasn't expecting the ritz, based in an old pub I found it hard to find and it looked a little unkept from the outside, the room with small ensuite was clean but an uncomfortable bed and a damp smell wouldn't see me rushing back.

My sister and I stayed at The Antigallican in June and found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. The rooms were basic but comfortable, nice and clean. A short train ride away will bring you to many sightseeing locations and there are several stores and restaurants nearby. We thoroughly enjoyed our short but pleasant stay.

The Antigallican is all about the bargain! We found it to be clean, convenient, and very friendly. Our airline lost one of our bags and being without a phone made it challenging. No problem, the desk clerk at the Antigallican allowed us to use the office phone! Great staff, walking distance to trains (2 minutes), walking distance to groceries and... More

Stayed here on a Saturday night as needed somewhere reasonably cheap to stay in South East London. Hotel is located about a minutes walk from Charlton train station and there's several bus stops all right close to the hotel as well so you can get to various destinations easily enough from here. Booked a twin room with the use of... More

The hotel is old and could use some paint here and there but the staff was friendly and helpful. it was the cheapest choice i got for one night stay during O2 concert that was only like 5 min drive from the hotel. So it was a fair deal for the price i got so near to O2.
