This was a complimentary stay due to the customer service we received last time. Unfortunately, the customer service was the same, probably worse! I agree with previous reviews with regards to the unwelcoming reception staff. When arriving there was no smiles or asking how our day was so far. We was told our room was not ready so we left our bags with them. I had to then email them to let me know when a room was available. When arriving back to check in I was asked for two ID, including a photo idea. I informed her I did not have this. She said this was a requirement which I informed her this was the fourth time returning and have never been asked for this. Breakfast at the Bokan restaurant was very disappointing. They do not cater for vegans! I went to the buffet area asking what they had where I was dismissed by the chef who replied, ‘vegetables’. I went to the manager who said they had been serving the same menu for 5 years. I informed her this was not true as the last time I was catered for and the chef cooked a lovely vegan breakfast with vegan sausages. She asked what we wanted, which I replied, what do you have have? She said she would go and see what she could get for us. She returned stating the sausages were vegetarian but the hash browns, beans and mushrooms were vegan. This was worrying as we had sausages last time. Were the Saul vegan the last time we had them? I then asked her if the bread was vegan and she stated that she could get some gluten free bread. I informed her that not all gluten free bread was vegan. I again asked if the bread on display was vegan and she replied, ‘I am not sure, it is from Tesco’s’! I asked her if she could find out. When she returned, she had a loaf of Hovis bread and was looking at the ingredients! With all catering, I am aware that they should have a list of the food they are serving with the ingredients in them. It is a shame as the hotel is lovely, with lovely rooms and a lovely spa area. The customer service lets this hotel down a lot. The restaurant serves a vegan tasting menu at night so you would think they would cater for vegan well but this is not the case. The manager at breakfast stated they have been doing the same breakfast for five years! Times have definitely changed and maybe they need to rethink their breakfast especially as more and more people are changing to a plant based diet. Even simple changes such as having vegan butter or dairy free yogurts. I have given my feedback to the manager via email but unfortunately she did not respond.

Excellent stay at Novotel Canary Wharf as per usual. Stayed with my wife for a short break in the city and of course to have the opportunity to try Bokan's new taster menu. The service was excellent across all departments of the hotel but in particular wanted to thank Nicolas and Thierryny (the Bokan team) for their excellent service

The room and facilities were fantastic. The service was very good on the whole but a couple of times staff were unhelpful when it wasn’t their job. I would stay again as it didn’t dampen the experience as a whole and some of the staff were superb!

Absolutely fabulous hotel. Unfortunately we couldn't get an upgrade as they were fully booked but we were placed on the 33rd floor and had a lovely view over London. The rooftop bar is fabulous and we fully enjoyed the free wine from my drinks vouchers.

Great location & views! Especially at breakfast & over cocktails. We had a junior suite (on the 7th floor, check when choosing your room as it gives you the info but we missed it) but we still had a good view & we were staying 2 nights so it was more important for us to have more space and comfy area to lounge!
