Imagine a re-designed floating platform, pure industrial design, unique waterfront location, living room and rooftop terrace - all with a view every Londoner would love to wake up with. The location is unique. On the water and around the corner from London City airport (LCY) with direct travel links to Central London by DLR and Tube. The Excel and Crystal are neighbours and the O2 arena is just a 10-minutes cable-car ride away. The design can be described as a pure industrial style - combining Dutch design classics with cherry-picked items and custom made pieces. The Living Room is where good food and drinks are served. Open all day, every day. It's a place where you kick off your shoes, put your feet up, enjoy an espresso, meet with friends, or get some work done at one of the communal tables. The rooftop is an oasis of green and open space, boasting a terrace and bar overlooking London, Canary Wharf and the river Thames. The rooms range from a cosy 13 sqm to a spacious 30 sqm. Amenities include en-suite bathrooms with shower, in-room safe, coffee/tea, workspace and free WiFi. River views come per default in the Good Room with water view and Best Room The amenities are free WiFi (yes, everywhere), 24-hour front desk, concierge services, bike rental and free iPads for guests' use. Good Hotel connects you with the destination, offers a premium hotel experience and the opportunity to do something back for the local community while travelling.

Rooms are ridiculously small, requiring a sideways shuffle to get out of bed. The bathroom door doubles as the shower screen it's that tiny. Room has a small kettle and t bags like a 1970's cheap b and b. No soundproofing in walls so every neighbour noise heard including toilet flushing. Bar snacks and breakfast were of very poor quality. Luckily there's a tesco express and coffee bar nearby. Costing £430 for a 2 night stay I expect something far better. I like the concept that the profits help local unemployed people train for a job but not that it also helps children in Guatemala

Clean yet basic which is all you need for an overnight stay. I did feel that somewhere to hang your clothes is a bit essential to save ironing them as nobody wants creased clothes. The room and bathroom could do with a bit of a revamp as it looked a bit tired but on the whole I would stay here again as it is all you need for an overnight stay.

I wouldn't want to put anyone off from staying here as I had a great night sleep, but for the price to stay there the room for me needs to be a little more modern with higher quality fixtures/fittings. Staff excellent throughout and the location to Excel is fantastic

When in London this is the place I love to stay for my short journey, especially if you plan to attend an event at the O2 Arena. From here it is easy to reach the City Airport, the city centre using tube or boat. The room is minimal but there is all the necessary stuff. The staff is always smiling and welcoming. Well done!

It is clean and convenient to ExCel and if you are staying overnight it would be fine. The room is extremely small. No dresser or anyplace to set your luggage/cloths. There is only 1 space to stand in the bathroom it is so small. The bed is two singles pushed together. Some of my co-workers checked out and moved to a new hotel for the week. I stayed but will not stay again.

We've stayed a few times now at Good Hotel and love it for the service the staff provide, the great style and ambience, solid breakfast and comfy rooms. This might be controversial for some, but one of the things we love the most is that there are no TVs in the bedroom. They are designed fully for a good night's sleep. You can get them properly dark, air con to your preference and the bed and pillows are spot on for us. It's also lovely to be able to get out of the hustle and bustle of central London after a busy day working or sightseeing. A few stops on the DLR from Tower Gateway and you're at the relative peace and quiet of the water in the East end.

Had a nice stay here, staff were friendly rooms were compact but i guess that is part the ethos of the chain. Staff were excellent and very polite and helpful. - everything from booking the rooms to check out was done professionally and with a smile.

We had our wedding reception at the Good Hotel, it was the best day. Shaqueen and the team were amazing setting up the space and arranging everything. We had arrival drinks with our guests on the roof terrace, the weather and views were perfect. Our reception dinner was amazing, the food and service perfect. Highly recommended.

This hotel did everything it needed to do. The communal areas were stylish and spacious and the water facing room view was great. 1 star lost because the room we stayed in was comically small. We had to side ways shuffle to get out of bed. Would stay again for a one night stay but for any longer I’d recommend booking one of their larger rooms.

I have visited The Good Hotel several times. It is very conveniently located, near to Excel. The reception staff were helpful and efficient and my room was clean, with a lovely view of the dock. It was a warm evening and there were swimmers and a water skier exercising. Rooms are quite small, but very well designed. You have everything necessary for a comfortable stay.
