DO NOT BOOK HERE _ THEY CANCEL YOUR BOOKING WITHOUT TELLING YOU! Booked for a stay in April, all confirmed. Got a reservation number tec, thought all was fine. Suddenly IHG email saying booking cancelled. On investigation, they basically released my booking to get a higher rate for the room. No apologies 'Owner instructions' STAY ELSEWHERE
My husband booked this for my a weekend away for my 40th, he wanted a decent hotel central as we both have mobility issues. Unfortunately, our stay was bitterly disappointing. One positive is that we were allowed an early check-in, which actually upset my husband a little as he had been communicating with them about my special birthday - we went to ojr Leicester Square View room and dropped our bag, as we checked jn early there were no little surprises for me in the room that my husband thought might have had. After a very long day at Tower of London we wanted a drink so decided to head to hotel rooftop bar... Don't bother if you don't have a bank loan, getting out of the lift we were greeted by two very unhappy looking security guards, the hostess asked if we wanted food, we said no just a drink at this point we were told its a minimum spend of £40 EACH! So not only has my husband spent over £400 for a room in this hotel they wanted another £80 plus service charge I'm guessing to have a drink in the place we were staying - so we went to a pub down the road! This isn't mentioned on the hotel website but is all over the website for the actual bar. We had theatre tickets (another birthday treat) so quickly got changed and headed back out for dinner. When we got back to our room around 11pm to chill that's when we noticed actually the room wasn't 100% clean and certainly not to standard of a £400 a night hotel. There were stains on the chaise lounge, make up stains on the rug under the bed and there was glitter over all the furniture and floor - when my husband raised this when we checked out they said they would raise with house keeping no apologies nothing. The restaurant was apparently closed for breakfast so a sister rooftop just around the corner catered for us, I must say the breakfast is what topped this to a rating of 2 otherwise would be a 1. My husband has complained via head office who have offered us a discounted rate to allow them to redeem themselves, a discounted rate of £269 plus a voucher for 1 free drink each at the bar, when asked about breakfast he was then told its free drinks or breakfast - that's A Star customer service and certainly will not be spending any lore hard earned cash for them to continue poor customer service. My advise anyone looking to book here, then don't bother and book the Premier Inn down the road, it's cheaper and save you a fortune and will include breakfast. Not a recommended hotel from me…
Excellent experience. Between the great location the movie-theme room and the attentions we had a great time. Leicester park in front, picadilly circus 150mts. British museum at 10 min. The room was delightful. The retro movie themed hotel was so nice. Thanks for the attention as well.
Wonderful and friendly helpful staff at reception desk. Staff are reliable and prompt in their service. We would like to send a big Thank you to Imran, Cindy and Sofia for an excellent service! All the best! Cheers.
I had the absolute best experience at Hotel Indigo, Leicester Square. The room was incredible. I had a great view of The Eye of London from my 8th floor room. The bed was comfy and the bathroom was modern and chic. I particularly loved the tea set with an electric teapot, great tea options and biscuits! More importantly the staff was exceptionally. They were super accommodating , helpful and more importantly nice. Also this location is perfect. It is located in Central London and in walking distance to most attractions. I was able to walk to the theater to see a show, museums, Buckingham Palace and shopping. Love Love Love! I will definitely be back.
Just a few minutes walk from either Picadilly Circus or Leicester Square tube, this hotel was a quiet oasis on the busy Leicester Square. My deluxe room had an excellent view of the Square and was very quiet throughout the night. I didn't hear another guest any of the five nights I stayed at the hotel. The rooftop restaurant was closed for renovation though opened partially for the evening for drinks only. I was sent to a partner hotel a short walk away for an excellent breakfast. The staff was very helpful with information and I was greeted upon departure and arrival each day. I will return to Hotel Indigo Leicester Square as it was a great value.
We had the most appalling experience with this hotel. We left our luggage at the hotel as we were aware we couldn’t check in as we were early. We did offer to pay in advance but this wasn’t accepted. We stated we would be checking in much later as we were going to see Harry Potter show at the theatre. Unfortunately the evening receptionist was not aware of this as no note was added to our booking by the earlier receptionist. At 6pm we returned to the hotel to check in, and were quickly informed we couldn’t have the room we booked as none were available. The hotel offered a theatre room which is windowless, and basically like a cave. A windowless room is unacceptable to me as I like some natural light when I sleep. The receptionist offered £50 off the room price but I wouldn’t even pay that. If I wanted to stay in a windowless room I would stay at the Z hotel. After questioning why our room not available (despite the booking being months in advance), the receptionist confirmed the hotel over books! We were also victims for checking in late, despite offering to pay whilst dropping off our bags, and notifying the morning receptionist we would be checking in later. The consequence of this is being left with the worse room, and not the one we had booked. The receptionist couldn’t deny this. The only alternative we had was to go to their sister hotel The Victory House hotel who had available rooms. The night duty manager took us to this hotel with no offer of assisting with our luggage, in fact he never spoke to us until I asked him whether he was the manager. At the other hotel the duty manager left us pretty quickly with the Victory House hotel staff with no apology etc, he basically walked away! We were shocked at his arrogance. I was so annoyed as this was a birthday weekend present for my husband. If we hadn’t accepted a room at the Victory House hotel we would have been without a hotel room for the night. The staff at the Victory House Hotel were brilliant, very apologetic and understanding of our annoyance, and basically pulled out the stops to give us a good room. This Indigo hotel is no way a reflection of other Indigo hotels and we have stayed at many. This hotel is popular due to its location but nothing else as customer service doesn’t exist. The night duty manager’s attitude or lack of interest in guests welfare is terrible. No way should he be a manager or at the bear minimum he needs to be completely retrained in hospitality. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.…
We stayed for two nights on business and had a fantastic view of Leicester Square. The room was on the 8th floor and was extremely quiet at night. The bed was comfy and the room was very clean. All the staff at check in and out were friendly and helpful and were able to accommodate a slightly later check out which was much appreciated. Great location - for business and pleasure - and we will stay again.
Very friendly staff, very well placed, highly recommended. Many thanks to Sofia, Ana and Kristsan at the reception. Nice view from the 9th floor Regret to say that cash is not accepted for payment. Will return next time in London
Nice hotel, roof top restaurant/ bar views are spectacular. Friendly reception staff but some of the bar staff are less friendly also the bar closes very early on an evening even for hotel residents. Rooms are very clean as is the hotel and the location is fantastic for West End Theatres and Restaurants. We would definitely stay again but maybe not use the bar after the Theatre.
