Photos on website certainly weren't taken in place we were, awful shared toilet on landing and shared shower. Room was cleanish big window panes cracked, staff just thrust key at us and said top floor, kind of place I'd recommend to someone I hate

Well I'm not sure what some travellers want to be honest- this is definitely a get what you pay for place. Stayed here to attend a gig. Location great for getting around. Checking in ok and quick very friendly porter. Gave keys and advised floor. Narrow stairs but this is because the owners have made the most of the available...

This is more of a B&B hotel, rooms very small and lots of street noise, but this is typical for this area, seemed to be lots of families sharing small rooms so could be noisy inside as well. Room was clean enough and bathroom quite well equipped. Probably wouldn't book again or want to stay more than a couple of...

Hotel is near to Russell Square tube station. We had a room at 3rd floor, unfortunately quite small stairs to walk up with suitcases and quite a long way up there. As door lock got damaged we got a second room and could use both rooms finally though lock got repaired. So we had a room for each of us...

I suppose you get what you pay for but holy heck I was really surprised by this place. The photos advertising the place do not do it justice. It is a shoddy grubby hotel. We chose it due to its location which was central to Kings Cross and the event that we were going to. Upon getting there we were...

The man on reception was very friendly and helpful. The room was basic but clean with tea making facilities. Yes, the bathroom is shared but I didn't have to wait at 0730 at all. It's a short walk 10-15 to kings cross. All in all, I thought good value for money in a great location. Basic but fine for the...

First things first, the pictures are definitely false. Our room was cramped and very small, there was no tv remote so no way to change the channel (which was on gay rabbit, btw) and the area seemed kind of rough. HOWEVER There was free wifi, the manager was nice enough, the price was probably a bit too steep for a...

We were 'lucky' enough to have an en-suite room. The shower had no bracket to fix it to the wall, I soon realised that this was because the tiny trickle of water that did eventually come out of the shower stopped completely when held at head height. On the plus side I've now got a fabulous derriere due the amount...

Well for a start the pictures of the hotel are a complete lie! As we walked in I just felt uncomfortable there was no one there to greet us and when we finally did find someone they were rude and just handed us our key and made us find it ourselves.. The communal bathroom was in a state mould and...

We used Booking.com & booked this hotel for two nights, we were in London because we had tickets to the Tarzan premiere so as this hotel was close to Leicester Square & London Euston and having seen the photos on the hotel website we booked, but it was a bad decision on my part. - Room was tiny - Headboard...

Staying in Bloomsbury

Neighbourhood Profile
Bloomsbury
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.
