My wife and I spent a week here on a recommendation from a Londoner. From check-in to check-out nothing could have been better. Mariya and Jennifer at the front desk were highly competent, friendly, and the epitome of what front desk staff should be. They answered every question we had, made excellent recommendations on places to go, and every time they found out I was looking for something they would call ahead in advance just to make sure the place was open or to get more information. Rooms are well appointed and clean. The maintenance staff is highly responsive. But most of all, you absolutely cannot beat this location. You’re close to Trafalgar Square, Piccadilly, Seven Dials, and all the great shops and restaurants in Covent Garden. We absolutely love this place and hope to be back soon!…
We stayed at the Resident for two nights on a visit to London to take in some shows and culture. We couldn’t have asked for better. Perfect for what we needed. Lovely greeting, helpful reception, immaculate room, great location. A really nice touch was the little kitchenette in the room so you could make a light snack or breakfast. Would definitely stay again without doubt.
Don't hesitate, book this hotel. I ready tons or reviews for my first visit to London and this hotel was the top of the reviewed for a reason. First of all, the location is perfect. I love food, shopping, and theater. I could easily do all three within minutes of the hotel. The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating. I had never been to London and they were really helpful in answering questions and setting up a driver for me from the airport (also highly recommend). Shout out to Marija - she's my girl! She was so sweet and kind. She made my stay super comfortable and welcoming.
Had a great stay at The Resident Covent Garden. The staff was outstanding, and the rooms were clean, updated and quiet, although a bit small. The hotel is centrally located for anyone looking to tour London.
The hotel is very nice and in a great location (5 minutes from Trafalgar Square and from Covent Garden market). The service was just amazing, the girls at the reception (especially Marisa) helped us with every little thing and always met us with a smile. They even gave us free drinks when we already checked out and waited in the lobby for our flight. The room had everything we need, even an espresso machine and a microwave. It was a bit crowded for three people, but if we were two, it was very spacious.
Great location. Pampering rooms but above all great personal service from the staff Highly recommend to anyone who is undecided about a hotel in London. Stop debating. Go and thank me later. Ahhh yes, and say steve talor sent you (-:
From the moment that we first contacted The Resident Hotel, the staff there could not do enough to make sure that our stay was a good one and memorable for all the right reasons. The room was clean, spacious, tidy and well equipped. The location, just off The Strand and literally 2 minutes walk from the theatre where we had tickets to watch a show (The Vaudeville), was perfect. On arrival the room had been thoughtfully decorated and a little gift (chocolates) provided for my wife whose birthday it was. When we needed a restaurant in the evening (the one I thought we would visit was booked up, my fault), the extremely helpful lady on the desk rang round to find a table at another good restaurant. There is no restaurant at the hotel but it is not needed as there are so many good ones nearby. For breakfast we had to order the evening before, but it arrived spot on the time we’d requested to our room, exactly as ordered and at a discount given to guests of The Resident. We just stayed the one night, but there was no problem at all in leaving baggage in their safe keeping after we checked our, so that we didn’t have to cart them round London while we explored before taking the train home. I cannot speak highly enough of the friendly and thoughtful service given by all staff while we were there. The room was spotlessly clean and every request was answered positively. We’ll definitely be back, the next time we need a hotel in London. Thank you Patricia and team for exceeding all our expectations on this special occasion.…
The location cannot be beat... walked everywhere... West End, Covent Garden, Trafalgar Square, great restaurants, etc... . The room was lovely and clean. Myself, my husband and 15 year old daughter together in a room was a king bed and a cot (funny because my daughter is 5'9 and half her legs hung off - but she can sleep on anything and it was truly cozy for all of us). The shower was amazing... one of my favorite things about the room aside from located. Loved the little kitchenette. We were on the 2nd floor in a corner King and truly did not have any issue with street noise which was great. Great stay and would definitely stay again!
This hotel is perfect for a little getaway to London. The location is ideal for everything you need. Close to the train, tube, theatre district, shopping and all the tourist attractions. Staff are super super friendly and extremely helpful. They will help organise taxis, trains info, restaurant recommendations and anything else they can help with. Nothing seems to be too much for them. Rooms are simple but have everything you need for a pleasant stay. Just a suggestion but it would be nice if the hotel offered some snacks in room rather than having to call reception to organise? The only downside to the stay was the hotel not having the correct room upon arrival despite us booking that room and emailing the hotel directly prior to arrival to ensure it would be correct. They booked us two twin rooms and had to have housekeeping attend to make up one of the rooms into a king bed. Though they were able to rectify it immediately it was an oversight which maybe could have been avoided? Overall a fantastic stay and will be booking again for our Christmas visit. The hotels staff are a real credit to the business.…
This is a lovely hotel in a great location. It is walking distance to many popular sites and theaters. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Room is clean and modern. We stayed in a superior room category and had wonderful little touches such as USB ports by the bed for charging, a small kitchenette with a water filter, and a heated towel rack. There is no restaurant on site but the hotel is surrounded by many great restaurants, so this is not a concern. Wine is available to be ordered to the room as well. Would definitely stay here again if back in the area.
