2021 Travellers' Choice Best of the Best
Renowned for its elegant central Piazza, charming independent market stalls, vibrant street performers, and for having some of the best luxury shopping and fine dining in the capital, not to mention being home to the world-famous Royal Opera House and West End theatres, Covent Garden is one of London's most enchanting and inspirational destinations. The Resident Covent Garden is just a 3-minute walk from the main central Piazza (and within a 5-minute walk from both Covent Garden and Charing Cross stations), providing an oasis of calm right in the heart of the action. It offers 57 stylish and thoughtfully designed contemporary bedrooms, each featuring bespoke furniture hand-made locally in West London, luxurious throws and cushions made from natural fibres woven on the Isle of Bute, Scotland, and special edition Paul Smith Anglepoise lamps, as part of the brand’s focus on quality British design and craftsmanship. They each also feature our signature in-room Mini Kitchen.

Celebrated belated 60th and 35th anniversary. Was pleasantly surprised at the contemporary fresh design of the hotel and the heartwarming welcome from all the smiling staff. Our room was covid clean and a lovely size. The location is ideal for Leicester Square, Covent Garden, Soho, Oxford Street and Regent Street. Definitely worth a return visit. Definitely recommendable

We had a really fantastic stay here we were welcomed with great smiles and even though we were early they had no problem in us checking in because the room was ready. When we asked for a king-size bed and not a twin because of a mixup with my online booking agent it was no problem at all and complimentary drinks were offered while we waited. They still offer their complimentary drinks around 5 to 6 o’clock in the evening but because of Covid they serve them safely to you in the room you just order them when you are ready it was so nice to have two glasses of Prosecco each evening. They were very helpful and check out storing our luggage and also ordering us a taxi just five star service. The room itself was spotlessly clean we enjoyed having the small kitchenette and it even had a little balcony. We would definitely come again as it is right in the heart of Covent Garden and easy to walk to the theatre and the many restaurants that are nearby plus the shops.

The hotel really is perfectly placed for the main sightseeing things in London, transport links are all short walk away. But the main reason for great review is the kind and helpful staff which made our visit. Due to covid no bar was running, so had complimentary drinks, it was abit showery so they lent us a brolly while we stayed there. The room was great, handy kitchen area and a great shower, and air con, very comfy bed aswell. So cannot really fault it for a stay, and will be returning.

Dear Carrie Ann T, Thank you for your lovely 5* review. I am delighted to know that you selected The Resident Hotel to celebrate your sister's 30th Birthday. It was our pleasure to host you. Also, thank you for your heartfelt comments about the team. It is wonderful to read that you found the bedroom to be arranged nicely, and that you felt welcome and very comfortable during your stay with us. I couldn't agree more wih you, the triple glazing in the rooms is so efficient that as you mentioned in your review, no noises from outside can be heard. Carrie Ann T, once again thank you for your kind words and we hope we will have the opportunity to welcome you back again soon! Kind regards, Patricia Reception Manager

We stayed for 2 nights last week after booking a mini break to London. The position of the hotel is excellent - just off the Strand near Covent Garden. You are literally in the middle of a lot London has to offer. No restaurants or bars but hey - you're in Covent Garden so no problems at all. Nice touch was the microwave, fridge and tea and coffee machine. Just what you need after a hard days sight-seeing. We upgraded to a king room which was a little bigger. The rooms are not overly generous but how much time are you going to spend in the room? Very comfy bed and no noise whatsoever so a good nights sleep was had. What makes this hotel so good are the staff. Everyone went out of their way to be pleasant, make us feel welcome and seemed generally appreciated that we had entrusted them with our accommodation. I wont single anyone out because they were all as helpful and lovely as each other - thank you to all of you :). If you are heading to London (and I recommend you do before the tourists return!!) treat yourself to a Residence Hotel and I thoroughly recommend Covent Garden.

Dear Simon D, Thank you for such a positive and glowing review following your stay at The Resident Covent Garden. I am delighted to read that you enjoyed your time with us and have taken advantage of our central location. As we are located in the heart of London, we have tripled window glazing to avoid the noise from Bedford St and The Strand - we want to ensure that our guests can get a peaceful sleep. I am so happy to learn that the room exceeded your expectations. So pleased that you found our mini kitchen very convenient. Our mini kitchen makes it easy to start the day with breakfast, a light lunch or even dinner served with Brita filtered water or my personal favourite: The Nespresso machine... I would like to take this opportunity to remind you that we are able to source groceries you might want in your larder fridge for your next stay, just let us know in the pre-arrival and we will support your healthy habits. Thank you for your heartfelt comments about the team. It gives me joy to learn that the team made you feel so welcome - we always aim at providing an outstanding service with a personal touch and we just LOVE to see that our guests would like to return in the future. The team were really happy to read your positive feedback. Simon D, thank you again for this lovely review and I hope we will have the opportunity to welcome you back very soon! Kind regards, Patricia Reception Manager
