Been here many times for lunch and dinner breakfast is a more leisurely affair with a relaxed pace and no rush. Food is fair and the usual breakfast menu, prices reasonable for Soho and today service excellent. The damage £50 for 2 including service. Happily have breakfast here again.

I visited this restaurant for a Saturday brunch as my brother had suggested it. Service was generally slow, but not so bad I complained. I ordered poached eggs on toast and the below picture is what arrived. Once my brother and I had finished laughing I asked to speak to a waiter. I was told the manager would come over, which she did. I asked if she thought the presentation of the meal was acceptable for a restaurant of its reputation. To my surprise she asked what I expected as it was poached eggs and toast. I wasn’t quite sure whether she was being sarcastic or not until I was asked if I'd like the plate to be taken to the kitchen so the chef could place the eggs on the toast for me... Given the choice between going to the DST or a builders cafe, it would be the latter every time from now on as I’m sure the presentation would be improved and would come without the side of attitude. I'm not one to take pictures of meals, but this one I had to so my friends believed me. At least we had a good laugh from it.

We went to Dean St Townhouse, booked the dining room at the back for 12 people for a farewell. Service was terrible, we had to keep asking and waiting for anything. The food was good but certainly not special - not worth the £120 per person bill. Staff were rude all over the restaurant- when I came out of the bathroom, they raised their voices at me for their station as if it was my fault the door opens outwards and almost bumped them. Blocking walkways, ignoring customers. I won’t rush back

I’d arranged to meet a friend as a commemoration to friend that had recently past.. so really in no mood (due to respecting the feelings of my friend). To make any complaints.. As, from the off, the waitress first dismissively & rudely plonked the cocktail down on the table, no finesse with no interest to if we required anything else.. I asked my friend .. ‘Did I imagine that’. To which I hadn’t.. As each dish that was served coldly & abruptly I was not enjoying the experience at all. . Throughout - the attitude of the waitress was some what unnerving as with each encounter it had become more evident. ( She really didn’t like us) .. ? And without any qualms needed us to know - I understand there’s a waiter shortage, but are the staff employed at The Town house informed to the calibre of the establishment and the history and reputation it once held - As within one meal it’s ruined any desire to return. For either of us.. This was my second visit since lock down. And I feel, Sadly its my last , Having once been my go to, for lunch with friends . Since this new era, & new staff, it’s now lost it’s charm.. https://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/ShowUserReviews-g186338-d8712506-r815747176-Soho_House_Dean_Street-London_England.html#
