The hotel was central to our needs... we walked to London Zoo, Covent Garden, Leicester Square, Trafalgar Square etc, etc, etc. So many shops, pubs and restaurants close by to for a lazy day. Breakfast was great - a choice of full English or continental breakfasts with staff who are happy and ready to please. Our first room was tiny...

I chose this hotel after checking out hotels in the neighborhood (and further) for many many many hours, and I do not regret it - it was the right choice. It is difficult (or impossible) to find a perfect hotel for even a budget of 100 - 130 GPB in Central London that is satisfactory from every perspective. Fortunately this...

I've stayed in lots of hotels around Kings Cross, St Pancras, and the British Library, and the Judd is where I stay if I can. It's small but very clean and with quite high specs (free wifi, modern bathrooms, good breakfast, friendly staff). There are many, much worse, hotels in the same price bracket as this, and which are on...

This was in a good location and the price was ok considering it was in London. Breakfast was included and very nice. However we felt a bit deceived by the room size from the images we saw on the web site. Our double room was painfully small and not in the best state of repair. One of us had to...

This is one of several hotels we've stayed at on the Cartwright Gardens crescent. The location is great--in a lovely residential neighborhood close to the Russell Square tube stop. Within walking distance of the British Museum, British Library, and Kings Cross/St. Pancras railway station. There's a friendly local pub on the corner. The hotel is small, friendly and quiet. The rooms...

Nice little hotel very close to Russel Square, Bloomsbury, British Museum, Covent Garden and theatre land. Our room comfortably fitted 4 adults, small bathroom but good shower. Quick service at breakfast and staff very courteous and helpful; overall well suited our needs for a 1 night stay in central location. We would come again.

Location is good but rooms are very small and our first room allocated was on the third floor up a narrow and steep staircase, no lift at this hotel. We were offered an alternative on the ground floor which we accepted but this room was even smaller with the bed pushed against a wall on one side. On a positive...

The most notable thing is we didn't feel like we were in the England of Virginia Woolf or the Bloomsbury we were looking for. We have been visiting the area for years and with big profit-venturing groups taking over all the family-owned B&Bs, it feels less and less English and more and more impersonal. The majority of staff on duty...

The positives- the location is great, a stones throw from Kings Cross and other interesting locations. I also explored less touristy places around Bloomsbury and again this was great. I wouldn't however ever go to the hotel again although I would recommend the area. I paid £268 for a double room, breakfast was included but service stopped at 9am. The...

We stayed for 3 nights over the bank holiday and cant really have too many complaints. The room on the ground floor was clean although a little cramped. Location is excellent , 10 mins walk from Kings Cross Station with plenty of bars, eateries close by. Only complaint is the front entrance door which slams shut every time someone comes...

Staying in Bloomsbury

Neighbourhood Profile
Bloomsbury
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.
