The location of this hotel is great, just down the road from the nearest tube station, with many shops and restaurants around. The room was clean and cozy, good internet and considering the price I think it was a good value. Maybe breakfast could have been a bit better, but for the price one should not expect Hilton :) Specifically I want to praise the staff because they were very friendly and helpful. Whenever I am in London next time I would stay again.

We stayed here for one night as a stop over. The hotel is in a great location with easy access to public transport. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. The only improvement would have been an extra pillow to sleep on the bed, the one pillow we had didn't support our sleep. But otherwise great hotel, would stay again :)

We stayed for 2 nights, costing around £200 in total - Superior Double Room. Great location, right next to nandos with plenty of places to eat and shop. The staff were welcoming and wore masks the whole time which was great. However, regarding the room, cleanliness was the biggest issue. I was horrified when I spotted an old dirty face mask wedged in the lampshade... Clearly the cleaning was not done properly. + The room was smaller than what I thought a 'superior' double room should be and I was disappointed with the appearance. The furniture is old, carpet worn and shower head rusty. I complained to the staff and they immediately moved us to another, bigger room. The second room was better but still had the issue of old furniture, black specs on the shower and rusty shower head. The bed was very comfortable and the room had air con, windows and a TV. Some reviews have mentioned about loud noise from outside, but I did not experience this at all, it was very quiet. The breakfast was nice continental food including cereal, croissants, muffins, boiled egg, hams, toast. The food area was very clean and staff were friendly. Overall, I wouldn't say it's a 4 star hotel because of the fact the rooms are worn down and the cleaning needs addressing and improving. The staff were helpful and I had an ok experience.

Room Tip: If paid for superior, check your room is a superior double and not just a double as bigger rooms...

In the room the safety box did not work, the blinds did not close and the windows could not be opened. These were just minor issues however the main issue was the standard of the beds. There is no cover mattress only the bed sheet that did not actually fit the bed and underneath the mattress was stained with urine. (photos attached). The receptionist told me the manager was not available and I would have to email the hotel with my complaint. I emailed the hotel and they told me I should have brought it to their attention at the time (which I did) so they said I would have to contact the booking agent I used to complain. The booking agent complained about the condition of the room (also holes in carpets) but to date the hotel have still not replied. The photos on the website are very misleading and don't look anything like the rooms allocated. Very poor maintenance of the rooms and poor responses from the hotel management.

On arrival at the hotel we were met with a small, dark entrance leading up to the reception area. Once arrived at reception we had to find a member of staff to check us in as nobody was present. The lift was a genuine safety hazard, we accidentally set the alarm as you cannot touch the walls whilst the lift is moving. The less said about that the better… Once in the room, we were shocked to see how the hotel resembled nothing of the bright, modern look of the official pictures. We were met with a dark, tired room that was a far cry from the 4* level promised. On the attached pictures you can see examples of how the hotel room was lacking including cracked walls, tired out of place furniture, a mouldy shower basin, a badly marked mirror and a damaged carpet. Worst of all was the black tape used as a budget DIY job on the window. One of the main reasons we chose to stay at the Seraphine Olympia was the breakfast. However, the breakfast offering was something resembling a primary school trip. A brown paper bag containing a banana, oat bar, yoghurt and a sweaty brioche bun was put in front of us by the “waitress”. On our final morning we were awoken by a fire alarm going off on three separate occasions, after questioning a worker we were told they were test alarms, something we had no prior information about. Finally, the security of the hotel is non existent. The front door leading directly onto Kensington High Street needs no key activation, attracting anyone or anything to climb the stairs to floor 1, where unassuming hotel rooms are waiting. Whilst checked in at the hotel, we would have happily spoke with staff to discuss the issues mentioned, however the majority of the staff were extremely unapproachable. If this even counts, the only positive of the stay was the location, with the hotel being 5 minutes walk from Kensington High Street. All in all, the worst hotel experience of my life.
