Chose this hotel because of the reviews on trip advisor and we were not disappointed. Friendly, welcoming staff on reception who surprised us with a free upgrade to the Tower Suite. The room was immaculate with excellent facilities, free wifi for our devices, 2 tv's, free non alcoholic mini bar, Nespresso machine. This is our favourite hotel we have stayed...

The best word to describe this hotel experience is: GREAT. The hotel staff is beyond friendly and very helpful and interested. The location is perfect: close to tube and dlr and the neighborhood is very interesting with contemporary and historical buildings. Different coffee shops, restaurants, small shops and things to help your stay are very close. The room is not...

Hotel Indigo is owned by the same group as Thai Square (previous review) and whilst I can see a similar hand in the decorations etc., the service, value and customer care is so much better and makes you realise just how poor our meal was at the former. We booked for one night but extended it to two a day...

Who wants to drive home or take public transport after a night in London. But the challenge is finding a good hotel within budget and walking range of your function. Indigo ticked all the boxes. The bonus was that the staff were so polite, friendly and helpful, particularly Tomas who helped me with a problem I had with the room....

Dear Guest, You really put down all our good qualities in your review: convenient location, cost-effective, great service, and friendly staff. Thank you! What else can we say.

Stayed for two nights early December. Have stayed here before and it is now a hotel of choice for London. Slightly out of the way, (if you want to spend time in west end/ central) but tube is easy and convenient. Also the quality of what you get is superior to same priced other hotels in west end. Indigo Tower...

Very good first impression, unique modern style. It might sound funny, but the first thing I was impressed the most in a room was Aveda products. Second was Nespresso machine. The staff was very friendly and helpfull. I want to say special thank you to Tomas. Because of his excellent knowledge of London city I saw more than I expected...

I got upgraded to a suite as I often stay with this hotel chain and I can say that it is excellent. Free, fast, WiFi but only for one device is a bit of a downer. Loads to do nearby food-wise and near Aldgate tube station, so easy access to Paddington. The suite was spacious and clean, very well decorated...

We asked the hotel for a taxi but unfortunately they got a car that I am not even sure was hackney licensed, that drove like an absolute idiot and then charged us almost twice as much as a black cab on the same journey back. Saying that the hotel was absolutely spot on. The room was very well equipped and...

Dear Guest, We’re glad you enjoyed our room set-up and that it helped you get a good night’s rest. There must have been some misunderstanding regarding getting a cab or a taxi and we’ll make sure it doesn’t happen again when you come back.

My partner and I booked this hotel after reading the rave reviews here on TripAdvisor, and weren't dissappointed in the slightest. On entering the squeaky clean lobby, we were pleasantly and professionally greeted by two members of staff. After the intial checking-in stages, we learnt we had been upgraded to a superior room free of charge, much to our delight....

Dear Guest, And we’ll be glad to have you back. Since quality service marks our business, we would have appreciated it if you had let housekeeping know that you only had one large towel. We always provide one large towel per guest. Really sorry for that oversight. Thanks for all the other positive strokes.

Staying in City of London

Neighbourhood Profile
City of London
From its ancient past as a Roman trading outpost to its 21st century status as the wealthiest square mile in the world, the financial district known simply as “The City” is one of London's most historic and fascinating neighbourhoods. Here high rise office towers such as Norman Foster’s Gherkin mingle with Roman ruins and architectural marvels from virtually every era in between, including Christopher Wren's glorious St.Paul's Cathedral, and John Soane's dauntingly classicist Bank of England. This neighbourhood is also home to some of the finest restaurants and plushest hotels in Europe, in addition to an assortment of of watering holes, upscale shops, and Tube stations. During the week, the City is abuzz with white collar workers going about their business; the weekend sees this area turn into a quiet haven for sightseers.
