The hotel is very nice in the financial district of London. The underground stations called Aldgate, and a few minutes further away, Aldgate East, are very close. This makes it convenient for riding the subway. The hotel is also close to the London Museum, and we could walk to it, and the Tower. This hotel is extremely clean - I...

Dear Guest, Thanks for noting all the positive qualities of Indigo: convenient location, perfectly clean rooms and room service. Though difficult to work on because of individual differences, we’ll try to meet every hotel guest’s food preferences and thanks for letting us know.

Loved this hotel, best we have stayed at in London. Clean with nice decor, great location for transport to all areas of the city, staff excellent both on reception and in the restaurant. Will return on future visits to what has to be the most exciting city in the world.

We stayed there for one night... and apart from the fact that the bed, to our taste, was a bit too narrow for two people (which made us sleep accordingly bad), the Indigo Tower Hill is a very nice place to stay. I can recommend it with a good conscience. A receptionist by the name of Thomas (unfortunately I do...

The hotel was easy to find, its just a minute or so walk from Aldgate station. We were greeted by friendly reception staff who allowed us to check in earlier than stated on the booking, they also told us that we had been upgraded to a suite on the top floor :-) The room was very spacious and seemed newly...

Really enjoyed my stay here recently. The location is on the edge of East London, so not very touristy although still close enough to reach everything central London as to offer. Small but beautiful boutique hotel, with large rooms. Was given a top floor room which had views of the skyline, impressive at night. Stay we're friendly. Only small complaint...

Hotel Indigo is a great little hotel in many ways. It is nicely located for the east side of London and Aldgate tube station but it is not ideal for the West End and theatreland, which lie a 15 minute underground ride away. The rooms are large by London standards and are clean and well equipped (I stayed in a...

Dear Guest, Well, nice to know you’ll be back despite having experienced some of the hotel’s shortcomings which you mentioned. This means we’ve still met your standards of a good hotel in most other ways. Indeed Hotel Indigo is great and it is for people like you that we try to keep Hotel Indigo great.

At short notice I had to book a hotel for work - and my company appointed agent was unable to help. I tried booking a Hilton through LateRooms but the Hilton booking system wasn't working apparently (I was told when i called the number for LateRooms). So...LateRooms' very nice lady (Georgia) suggested this hotel as an alternative so that I...

Exceptionally well situated hotel overlooking tower bridge and Shard. Breakfast and evening meal was above average. Food was reasonably priced for Central London and was surprised not to get robbed when buying drinks..... A real bonus. Had a large family room which was well appointed with very comfortable bed.

Staying in City of London

Neighbourhood Profile
City of London
From its ancient past as a Roman trading outpost to its 21st century status as the wealthiest square mile in the world, the financial district known simply as “The City” is one of London's most historic and fascinating neighbourhoods. Here high rise office towers such as Norman Foster’s Gherkin mingle with Roman ruins and architectural marvels from virtually every era in between, including Christopher Wren's glorious St.Paul's Cathedral, and John Soane's dauntingly classicist Bank of England. This neighbourhood is also home to some of the finest restaurants and plushest hotels in Europe, in addition to an assortment of of watering holes, upscale shops, and Tube stations. During the week, the City is abuzz with white collar workers going about their business; the weekend sees this area turn into a quiet haven for sightseers.
