This hotel is in a great location, really central and close to the British Museum. The staff are amazing and very helpful! I mentioned to the staff when booking it was my girlfriend's birthday, when checking in we were given a free upgrade to a Junior Suite, which was really nice of them. In the room there was a birthday...

Visited here with a friend for the Easter weekend. The hotel is in a great location, only 2 minutes walk from holborn tube station and walkable from soho/covent garden and surrounding areas. We were given a warm welcome upon arrival and our bags were taken up to the room by the concierge who showed us the way. Our room was...

I stayed at this hotel on Friday 3rd of April. The hotel is well positioned for the main attractions of London, and the rooms are a decent size, modern and very clean. However the best part of this hotel is the staff. From the people behind the reception desk being very polite and helpful to the amazing Rosia in the...

This hotel is in a good location and was very, very clean, however, it was not quite what I hoped for and lacked the element of luxury. If you are looking for something special, I advise paying a little bit extra and staying elsewhere as this hotel is quite standard.

This is the second Thistle hotel I have visited but I have to say the staff here could not have done anymore to make our stay more pleasant. On leaving to go out for the evening we were offered a map of London and the receptionist even showed us the best route to take. We received a very warm welcome...

The Thistle Holborn has a good location, a few steps from Holborn and Tottenham court Subway stations and 10 minutes on foot from Soho, Oxford street and of course the British Museum; Standard Rooms are a little narrow but confortable (especially the bed!) and, according to their floor placing, relatively quite; bathroom quite small but clean. The Staff is friendly...

Neighbourhood Profile
Bloomsbury
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.
