Opened by renowned hotelier Cesar Ritz in 1906, The Ritz today still retains all the glamour and excitement synonymous with this world famous hotel. Perfectly located in a landmark position on Piccadilly in the heart of London's West End, the 136 room luxury hotel is ideally placed to suit both business and leisure visitors alike. Now totaling 111 bedrooms and 25 suites, the elegant rooms combine the original Louis XVI style interiors with modern day technology. Considered by many to be one of the most beautiful rooms in the world, The Michelin-starred Ritz Restaurant features a magnificent frescoed ceiling with west facing windows overlooking the Terrace, the Italian Garden and Green Park beyond. The restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner daily, with a Dinner Dance on Friday and Saturdays. The Palm Court restaurant offers, most famously, daily Afternoon Tea service which has been popular since the hotel first opened. The stylishly updated Rivoli Bar was designed by Tessa Kennedy and features Art Deco styled interiors. Open daily with a bar menu. Private dining facilities at William Kent House, the 18th century mansion house at The Ritz, include an exquisite selection of banquet rooms and suites. Possibly the most elegant and opulent private rooms in London, William Kent House offers the perfect venue for private receptions, weddings, boardroom meetings, lunches, dinners and gala events. The Ritz London is a Grade II star listed building and in 2002 became the first hotel to receive the Royal Warrant from his Royal Highness The Prince of Wales for banqueting and catering services.

The Ritz is a beautiful hotel with exceptionally high standard of service. As a family we have not just been staying at the hotel over the years but also visiting the hotel for afternoon tea, cocktails etc. This has been like our favourite haunt for eight years. The main attraction for us has been the excellent service the hotel provides. Most recently we were disappointed with the service we received from the receptionists at the hotel. I personally feel the standard of service from them was not as good as in previous years. Apart from one who was friendly and welcoming another woman was abrupt, bordering on rude and very unprofessional. A male receptionist rudely kept staring at my relative without a smile just continuously staring and this made my relative stare back at him thinking he wants to say something but this was not the case. I am sure anyone would find this behaviour unprofessional and unsettling. I have never ever been so disappointed with the service we received from the reception staff recently. In previous years they have always been very polite, helpful, well mannered and discreet when helping and guiding customers. Something you would expect from a high end establishment such as The Ritz. I sincerely hope the hotel does not continue to bring the standard down by not training their reception staff to behave professionally and in a manner expected from a top end establishment such as The Ritz. I just wish this recent experience had not happened as it has tarnished the otherwise amazing time we had at the hotel and unfortunately somehow the negative points always take over and stand out from the good time as it is upsetting and at times hurtful. I have given it four stars because the majority of our stay was lovely unfortunately it got ruined on the last day with the unprofessional behaviour of some of the staff at reception.

Visited on Wednesday 24th November for Christmas afternoon tea, our second time after first visiting in December 2019. It’s such a special treat for us and we had such a wonderful time again. All of the staff were amazing from the doormen, to the cloakroom staff to the waiters, everyone treated us amazingly. The food was delicious and you get so much! A gorgeous glass of champagne and just such a wonderful atmosphere and experience. 10/10 and will be booking as soon as we can for Christmas 2022z

We booked for Christmas afternoon tea and it was magical, from the time you are greeted at the door with a lovely welcome to the waiters you are treated like someone special. The afternoon tea was lovely plenty of sandwiches that just kept coming as soon as your plate was empty the waiter added more they were delicious and very fresh, the scones were amazing and so were the mince pies and the cakes all hand made, with the Christmas afternoon tea you had champagne, the pianist played carols and there were Carol singers as well. The foyer was decorated beautifully it was amazing all the way through.

We stayed for the great Christmas makeover where you go to bed with the hotel pretty bare of decorations, and wake up the next morning with the huge tree in place and the whole hotel swathed in red and gold . It was magical and highly recommended . Plus the staff are kind and helpful , especially in the Rivolli bar. lovely club sandwich big enough to share. We had a super breakfast one morning in the Ritz main dining room where for about £50 you get a full breakfast plus buffet and coffee in one of the most beautiful rooms in London ! Don't wear trainers (even designer trainers) and book well in advance for tea . Very busy hotel, very full bars even at 4pm the bar was full . ;

We had our afternoon tea voucher extended twice because of the Covid Pandemic. However the time had expired, due to the fact that we are the vulnerable group, we felt unable to use public transport. We contacted the Ritz Hotel to request a further extension. This was refused, we were very disappointed as this was a gift from our daughter.
