We have just spent four wonderful days staying at Claridges. From the moment we stepped through the door we received 6 star treatment from all the staff.A special mention to Glen,Leo and all the team in the resturant The reception staff were as always efficient, friendly and very helpful. We had accidentally left the do no disturb light on in our room when we went out for the day and received two emails asking if everything was ok and had we left it on by mistake, what great service . Thankyou to Paul and Pat for arranging our anniversary dinner through emails, as efficient as always. We will be returning next time we are in the Uk.

Hotel's Favourite
Claridge’s has always been one of the top hotels in London but let’s face it, over the years, it had begun to get tired. Not anymore! The hotel has been renovated top to bottom and is also expanding. Claridge’s advantages have always been extensive. It’s location in the center of Mayfair can’t be beaten and it has always oozed charm and class. The staff has always provided top notch service and it’s bar is one of the best in the world. This is why it has been a classic for almost a century. These strengths remain. The hotel, however, had been in need of renovation because the rooms, while classic and charming, has become dated. In addition, the hotel lacked a spa facility. The recent renovation fixes all of this. The rooms now are the best of any city hotel that we have been too. They are now truly beautiful in every respect. The designers have been able to achieve the impossible and have balanced modernity and tradition with perfection. The room facilities are first class with stunning modern bathrooms, amazing showers and air conditioning that can finally hold its own with global warming! The design however retains the hotels Art Deco traditions with beautiful parquet wood floors and attention to detail throughout. Claridge’s has regained its position as the finest hotel in London and indeed has to be a contender on any list of finest city hotels in the world!

Response from Paul Jackson, General Manager at Claridge's
Responded 22 Aug 2022
Dear Five star T, I was delighted to read your thoughtful and constructive review and am so pleased you approve of the restoration and refurbishment project that we have undertaken in recent years. There has been an incredible project team and a host of talented craftsmen and women deployed on this exciting programme, who have had the responsibility to ensure the results met the needs of the modern day traveller, whilst retaining the heritage and DNA of the hotel, and I know they will all be incredibly proud to learn that you approve of the end result. This has been a labour of love, as well as a huge responsibility and I cannot thank you enough for your kind words. Needless to say, we look forward to welcoming your back to Claridge’s on your next trip to London. With all good wishes, Paul Jackson General Manager

As a long time guest at Claridge’ and a frequent visitor to London I was disappointed in my stay this year. It has always been my favorite London hotel because many of the staff who have been there for years, who always remembered me, and I felt went out of their way to make my visit special have left. Some of the new staff were not very welcoming, and appeared not to care whether you were a longtime guest. We were unable to get in for tea or lunch, so we went to other London hotels that we have frequented for tea and lunch and found their staff made an extra effort to ensure our visit was exceptional ; the way Claridge’s used to be until this year When I checked out I was not asked if I enjoyed my stay as I always was in the past After some reflection I cancelled my upcoming stay at Claridge’s and stayed elsewhere where they were much more welcoming. Perhaps Claridge’s has become so popular since the recent renovation that they just don’t care about their guests as much as they did in the past

Fantastic weekend away win from RevComps. 100% recommend for anyone wanting a 5star luxury break away.from pulling up in my car to leaving we were looked after, nothing was a bother and everyone was smiling, that made it better. We had the 2 night timeless escape bed and breakfast. The only real snag was we were meant to have welcome cocktails picked from a keepsake Claridge's Cocktail Book that we never received. Instead we got 1 glass of champagne between 2 of us. This must have been a mistake by the hotel. But apart from that we loved the weekend. And David the doorman was very helpful giving us directions to the places we wanted to go. Please pass our thanks again to this tall gentleman. The restaurant was fantastic food really good, service second to none. Afternoon tea was also really nice. Got extra sandwiches and what we couldn't eat was sent up to our room on request. Breakfast in the Foyer served fast and a little more than I could eat. Breakfast in the room was nicer for some reason. The decor from floor to ceiling was fantastic. Room was spotless

What an incredible hotel. I live in NYC, and a couple of weeks ago stayed here with my mum as a belated mothers day treat on a visit back to the UK. Both of our rooms (mine a balcony room, hers an amazing corner suite) were impeccable, stylish and so comfortable. I have been lucky enough to stay at some of the best hotels in both London and abroad, but Claridge's has to top the list. A special mention to Lucy on the front desk; she was so welcoming and accommodating. First time at Claridge's but it won't be the last!

Perfection! The team is wonderful. They are just so attentive and caring. We had Afternoon Tea here and this was our favorite over 2 other spots. The location is perfect walking to all the shops. This was our second stay and I can't wait to return!!

What a wonderful expectation, Stay the night at Claridges. Cocktails to celebrate our son’s 21st birthday and Helen Daroze for dinner. The sublime tranquility of a luxury Hotel. A quiet early evening talking to family. Ha! and now the truth. Arriving on Saturday afternoon to a noisy bull pit of a place with more ambient noise than a F1 race track. Dress code we thought - make an effort we thought it’s Claridges. Well we needn’t have bothered. Wearing our gym kit or gardening joggers would have been the go to dress of the clients. The serene atmosphere of Mayfair was broken by the hullabaloo inside the hotel. So the room was OK even if the check in took ages. My wife pre booked a manicure and arrived back in the room in tears. “What a mess they have made. I could have done it better myself” she exclaimed through her sobbing. We dressed into our black tie evening wear. Reception was dismissive of my wife’s turmoil. “A duty manager will contact you”. Yeah sure! However a package did arrive for her during cocktails - some nail varnish remover! Insult! The bar was. An experience. George was so amusing and professional. Many complements to him. Did the staff notice the very attractive young women at the bar who arrive unattached and seemed to form a liaison with single men? I suppose they could have left to get an ice cream but isn’t it more likely that Claridges Bar is a great pick up joint?! The rowdiness resembled our local pub on a Friday night when the builders flood in after work. They dressed and behaved like builders. If this is Claridges as epitome of calm and class as on Youtube then we are being misled. I could have found more solace at Premier Inn. Hopefully their walls were not scuffed by chairs and the bath plug would work. We left after some time to dine. The family said nothing about Claridges which spoke volumes. No one wanted to be derogatory in are the very special evening was spoilt. Sharpen up Claridges, this is not what we expected from a top rate hotel.

Lives up to expectations. We arrived to our room with a baby-cot in place, custom embroidered Claridge's teddy bear with our son's name, Claridge's sleep-sack and Claridge's baby towel. Incredible touches.
