I visited here for an afternoon tea in January and it was amazing. The outside of the hotel looks like a block of flats but inside is a beautiful suprise. Lovely bar to the right of the entrance and an outside area with heaters and a little center piece. We had a drink at the bar while we waited as...

I travel quite a bit and wish there was a Sanderson in every city that I travel to. Everything about the hotel is top notch and it is almost like being at home. Not sure it could be any better I had built it myself.

Dear Michael Lawrence, Wow, what an incredible compliment, thank you! Making our guests feel warmly welcomed and completely at home is our thing, so we’re all truly thrilled by your words. We are one of a kind, but you’re right, there must be some way to spread our original, engaging “Sanderson way” throughout the world! Can’t wait to welcome you...

Decided to go up to London last minute and were delighted that the Sanderson had room given our previous experience. We opted for the deluxe room again which is fabulous, very big with a sumptuous bathroom (smoked screen shower, seperate large bath, dressing gowns etc etc) and overlooking the lovely Japenese gardens. We arrived early on the Saturday morning and...

We stayed here for a night for our 20th anniversary and had an amazing time and felt utterly spoilt! The hotel upgraded our room, surprised us with champagne and cake being sent to our room and covered the bed in fresh rose petals! They also surprised us with cake and an anniversary message at dinner. The room was lovely with...

I've stayed at the Sanderson a handful of times now and every time has been an enjoyable experience. Most recently (and usually) we stay in a superior room and on our last visit was upgraded to the deluxe room on arrival - nice. Most notable difference being that the deluxe is clearly bigger, has a bath and separate vanity area...

Stayed one night to celebrate my girlfriend's birthday and she was very happy. Has the wow factor that comes with a 5 star hotel and all of the staff we spoke to were friendly and helpful. Excellent location just off of Oxford Street. We stayed in a 'superior' room which was spacious and well designed, if it had a bathtub...

i was there for 4 nights and enjoyed my stay. Had minor issue - I've requested a fridge to host my special diet items and didn't get one. The hotel staff are extremely kind and willing to help, however left me with a minibar which is a cooler and not a fridge.

From the beginning of starting this trip I was very impressed at the amount of customer service this hotel prides itself on. I left a couple of questions on here which were answered swiftly and informative. This place looks like a dingy fifties office building outside but inside it's painfully stylish. Lobby full of furniture which you have to plan how you're going to get out of. Lifts are really dark with starscape decor - with wet steamed up spectacles, some light would've been welcome. Corridors are tokenly lit too, most of the light come from...

Dear Helen C, Thanks very much for sharing your recent Sanderson experience. Indeed Sanderson may be unassuming from the outside – the building was the original headquarters and showrooms for Sanderson Textiles, and it now holds a Grade II Heritage listing, primarily because it was the first in London to have a “curtain wall exterior” – but step inside and...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
A lavish "Urban Spa" in the heart of London’s West End, Sanderson offers a retreat from the bustle of the city into a world of fantasy and wellbeing. The landmarked 50s building has been transformed into a surreal Cocteau-like dream world, epitomizing a “new luxury” that is smart, pared down, and tempered with a healthy dose of wit and irony. Sanderson’s indoor/outdoor lobby is a layered and sophisticated environment that is totally original. ... more   less
