After a terrible year last year, Mum and I decided we need some quality time together, so we decided to have three days in London and do a show. We saw this on line and booked it as we wanted a bit of luxury. When we got there we were early and check in and they put our suitcase in...

Check in staff on arrival very unfriendly and did not seem to care at all about customers waiting. NO personal contact, As a Gold Member I would expect some personal service. 0 provided. I had a number of single night reservations with the first night being a higher grade room than the rest. Only option was to 'downgrade' the first...

Although more of a 4 star hotel than a 5 star in French standards, this hotel is very nice, perfectly located for a weekend in London, the staff is polite and efficient. Rooms have a decent size and are modern enough.

Stayed 5 nights with family. The location was great, staff helpful. Rooms, though, a little small. Breakfast was nice, not great, price was decent. Within a walk from Covent Garden and Soho. Overall, good value for money.

Booked this as a luxury break, expecting the rooms to live up to the photographs and descriptions. Well, they did, but they were so so small -the smallest I've booked in London, and smaller than many much cheaper hotels. Cleanliness, comfort, design and staff were all great. But this is not a luxury room, it's a box with an extended...

A wonderful hotel. Exquisitely fitted, furnished and presented. Staff are friendly, helpful and articulate. Rooms are spacious, comfortable and luxurious. Bar and dining is refined, elegant and surprising. Only downside is the slight but definite and persistent odour of fish in all open spaces (hallways, lifts, etc), arising from the periodical instances of finished and left-outside-the-door room-service lobster.

Staying in Bloomsbury

Neighbourhood Profile
Bloomsbury
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.
