It was mine third time staying at Mandarin Oriental London, and it was the worse. The site was under construction and they gave me a very old room that was smelling bad. Service overall was good as expected. Most of the employees were very helpful. Although doorman didn't open the door even when I had several bags and suitcase with...

Stayed at the MO on the 16th December. On arrival the doorman was most welcoming took our cases straight away and took us to reception. Met Santa who checked us in with ease and was very knowledgeable and friendly.Santa arranged a lovely welcoming spiced tea then took us to our room, a courtyard view. Room was lovely well equipped with...

Very comfortable and pleasant stay at the hotel. Looking forward to staying again after the renovations have been completed. The Mandarin has done an extremely good job to ensure there are minimal disruptions during the current renovations, as you are unable to hear any building noise whilst staying.

Last Friday we had a mind blowing meal with incredible food at Hestons Dinner, the service was excellent especially when they made ice cream at the table for our seven year old grandson. The look on his face was priceless. Would just like to say thank you to everyone for making the evening very special, all except the doorman who...

Do not stay here in 2017! The hotel is one large building site, noisy and full of dust and drills. The "prestigious" entrance is the suppliers’ entrance, the elevator actually serves construction workers. The Mandarin Oriental's management conveniently hides any information about their major rebuild (with excessive levels of inconvenience to the guests) at the bottom of their website and...

It took me few months to write this review. I stayed at MO London in April this year for a business trip. I love all MO hotels and Paris one was my favorite. London MO holds up the standard but it's bit old. Actually most of the five star hotels in London are old. Breakfast was great!

London should be the place for a great tea time experience right? We were treating a girlfriend to champagne tea for her birthday but honestly this was the worst tea I've ever had in London. The room was characterless, slime green upholstery, veneer tables and, absolutely unforgivably, no tablecloths or flowers! We should have walked out based on the room...

Dear Sadie V, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback regarding your recent visit to Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park for afternoon tea. Firstly there is some refurb work ongoing, which did not affect our stay and experience in anyway. I appreciate it is needed from time to time, in great hotels, to maintain their appearance, and thankfully it did not detract from a wonderful stay. Having stayed for a few nights, used both restaurants and the spa, my only regret is that...

There is no doubting the pedigree of Mandarin Oriental London. The service is impeccable, staff are so good that they almost anticipate what you will ask for next. Nothing is too much trouble, everything is absolutely doable. You ask for an inch, and they give you a mile. All of this, of course, should in theory be the case for...

Staying in Knightsbridge

Neighbourhood Profile
Knightsbridge
When millions of tourists want to shop 'til they drop, they do it along Brompton Road and its boutique-lined tributaries, including the world-renowned Harrods. And when millionaires want to flaunt what they've already got, many of them find Knightsbridge and Belgravia the perfect place to do so, often behind stately mansion walls or down quiet private mews. Delve beyond the ultra-luxe exterior and you'll find some of this city's cosiest pubs, quiet gardens, and all sorts of indie retailers and enterprises worth a short exercise in spontaneous window shopping. For those looking to take a break from shopping, Hyde Park, Kensington Gardens, and some of the city's most popular museums are nearby.
