Not to the usual Doubletree standard. Online check in did not function. Receptionists were not welcoming or helpful. Room was adequate but small. Double Tree really need to consider king-size rather than small queen beds. Sound proofing of rooms between connecting door extremely poor could hear every word of neighbours conversations early hours. Breakfast was best described as chaotic. Small restaurant meant a queue time of 10/15 minutes. Then crampt seating area made getting to the buffet near impossible. The restaurant manager tried to keep things afloat and was pleasant but did not appear to have her team on board with demands. Kitchen staff kept ample supplies to meet shear demand. Outside seating area and indoor seating area constantly littered with disposable coffee cups and litter. Room was clean and lovely skyline view of London. Good housekeeping daily. Only chose this hotel due to parking in Central London which is £ 30 daily and the fantastic location. Easy walking distance to visitor attractions. Unfortunately would not consider staying here again even though by sons Uni accommodation.

Hotel's Favourite
Ive been coming to this hotel for Business and more recently with my family and it’s a real pleasure to stay. Always a warm welcome on arrival, the usual delicious warm cookie and some water for the room. The hotel is newly refurbished to a really high standard and they’ve made an effort to give you options of different room types from a Fitness room (yes, your own gym in your bedroom) to a Wellness room (full of various things to help you relax). Ive tried both and they are excellent. My last visit was with the family, connecting rooms if you want them are available. The staff made so much effort to ensure we had a great time and were always on hand to help us with drinks, food and also recommendations for restaurants to visit in the local area. Breakfast buffet is excellent with various continental and hot options available and you can now help yourself! The bar is well stocked and in this weather you can sit at the outside tables and enjoy your drinks… Eva is on hand to make sure your glass is always full. Even with all the restrictions I can’t compliment all the team enough as they try in every way to make your stay perfect. The hotel is close to Angel tube so easily accessible to allow you to get round London as a base and Islington high street has a great vibe going on. Thanks to Peadar, Mikel and all the team, we’ll be back very soon.

The highlight of the hotel is its location. Standard rooms are small - suitable for single person. Quality & options in breakfast spread are below or as compared to other DoubleTree hotels in London. Food in the bar is better than the food in the restaurant. Service is good.

The staff is young, new and untrained at the front desk. They are pleasant but unhelpful except for the Barman and Shamsad. Hard to check in and if you arrive early they cannot keep track of when you arrive when assigning rooms, they can’t make change and a few had difficulty cutting keys that work. The hotel isn’t located near tourist sites

Stayed here for work for 9 days and the staff couldn’t do enough for us to make our stay welcoming and homely. Breakfast was ample everyday with buffet service, we had dinner in the bar on the first night which was reasonably priced and very tasty and then in MPW’s on the last night which was really nice and fantastic. Despite being a work related stay we had a great experience with very clean rooms, comfy beds and lovely staff. Located close to the train station and with 45 minutes walk of the main tourist area. Thanks for a great stay.

My boyfriend and I stayed here for 2 nights from Thursday to Saturday. It was one of the worst Hilton’s I have ever stayed in. I have stayed in Hampton Hiltons (budget) which were of better standard and this is suppose to be a 4- star double tree. We checked in on the app and received our room key, unfortunately these keys do not work in the hotel so we had to go to the reception. From the get go, the girl on the desk was quite passive aggressive with the way she spoke to us. The room itself was fine, a bit outdated, needing a kick of paint in places and lacking basics like soap in the bathroom/extra toilet paper. Lastly, on the morning of our checkout, 3 different staff knocked on our door starting from 10am asking when we were checking out. The last woman knocked at around 11:30 in a suit with a clipboard and she glared at us. I wouldn’t mind but they were extremely rude in there tone, never said anything like “thank you for your stay”/explained why they were calling or even a smile. I have never experienced this in any hotel I have stayed in before and checkout was not until 12 anyways so I was very confused. My boyfriend and I didn’t spend much time in the hotel as we were sightseeing in London so it was a fine stay overall.

From checking to check out there was no stop to the problems and issues. The first room they sent us to, which they called an upgrade, had a terrible mildewed smell and was smaller than most hotel rooms in the US, certainly no upgrade. The second room that they checked us into that was the same size but did not smell bad. However, The air conditioner in that room did not work and when I tried to call the desk the telephone did not work. I had to go down to the desk and get a manager to get the air conditioning working but was told that it shuts off every two hours. Then we decided to open the cookies we were given a check and only to find that one of the cookies had a bite out of it! Then my wife noticed the bloodstain on the curtain. After that we decided we needed a shower and noticed there was no soap, no towels, and almost no toilet paper. We complained to the Manager about these issues and received a,” i’m sorry you feel that way answer“,

We stayed here for two nights and had a great stay, any issues we had were smoothed out straight away and after a short while everything was perfect with our stay. Special thanks to Vinfran the restaurant manager who went out of his way on multiple occasions to help and Maz the bartender for serving us.
