Nice little hotel, excellent location right outside paddington station. A few nice restaurants and pubs nearby. The interior is a little dated but that's reflected in the price, it's was very reasonable for the area. The room itself was a little small with a view of a brick wall outside the window but it did the job, there was a fridge in the room which was great for chilling a bottle of wine after a long day and the milk for the morning coffee. The shower was always hot and powerful and also the room was always hot (we left the window open most of the stay), that's not a complaint better to be too hot than cold!On our last day after checkout we was able to leave our luggage all day and collect later which was handy Overall a nice hotel and we had a great stay and would definitely book again.

Good hotel in a perfect location for Paddington, comfortable bed, usb by bedside, kettle and fridge a bonus. Small bathroom but powerful shower. Lovely friendly receptionist. Adequate breakfast. Good value for money. No lift could be a problem for some guests.

Dear TheWickerMan, Thank you for taking the time to write this review and for your positive comments about your overall experience with us. At Dolphin, we always strive to offer a comfortable stay to our guest in a welcoming and clean environment with the best possible services for affordable price in central London. We do understand no lift could be a problem for some guest however, we have also been very vocal about architectural restrictions that do not allow us to have lift. It was our great pleasure to welcome you and we hope to see you again. All the best, Dolphin Hotel

This place is dirty, smelly and all round an unpleasant place to stay. The whole place is shabby reception, hallway, stairway and the room. The place did not feel Covid safe at all. Can't comment on breakfast as we decided not to stay for it. We paid £151 for this... I wouldn't go back if you paid me to.

This was my first visit. I will NOT stay here again if I have luggage as there is NO lift and I was in a room on the FOURTH floor. Having sad that, the staff are all very friendly and try really hard. My room was serviced daily with fresh towels etc. As I was in the top floor, the water pressure was low at times and indeed a member of staff examined it one morning when owing to high usage elsewhere, there was nothing in the taps in my room. But after an hour there was good pressure in the shower. The staff try hard but they are working in a building that needs upgraded and especially with a LIFT!! Breakfast was really good - the staff there keep the dining room airy, bright and spotlessly clean, and keep replenishing the food holders.
