London

On arrival the outside looked ok, good area with easy access to many areas of London. Inside, reception was small, shabby, old and depressing; the receptionist had little English and less personality. The route to the room was hazardous, with fire doors located on the edge of steps and landings with little room for manouvre beyond. The piece de resistance...

Bobby and his family are very nice and helpful. Starting the day with an English breakfast was great. The hotel is in a quiet neighborhood, but close the Hyde Park and many great pubs and restaurants. Oh, and Paddington Underground is very easy to access. The room we had was not at all fancy, but clean and comfortable.

We stayed for 2 nights sharing a 3 bedroom. The hosts were very welcoming and the property is in a good position for seeing London. Our 3 bed room was unfortunately very dirty and smelly. Underneath the bedframe was covered in dust, and in the bathroom visible muck and mould. Our room had a very noticeable musty smell to it....

I stayed in Barry House last week with my boyfriend. We both found the location superb,we walked to Oxford street in 15 minutes and grabbed the 27 bus directly to the eclectic Camden town. The service was excellent, we were positively greeted with a friendly face everyday without being too over powering like some hotels. The room was a decent...

For less than £100, I experienced friendly staff, a clean room and decent breakfast in an excellent location next to Hyde Park and well connected to tube (Paddington & Lancaster Gate) and bus. Fairly basic English B&B and WiFi was intermittent, but good value at the price.

2 nights business trip, all meetings in mayfair. Don´t get my rating wrong it is not an excellent hotel but an excellent way to stay close to the center for a more than reasonable price. Also excellent public transportation close by, centerline from Paddington station a 2 min walk, will take you to victoria in 20 min and from there...

We spent two nights at Barry House, and have no complaints at all: friendly staff. superb location near the bus and tube stations, great breakfast, and above all good value for your money. We'll certainly be back.

We stayed at this B&B last weekend. If you like dirty rooms, lamps hanging off the walls, thick dust on the headboards, thick dust and tea stains over the skirting boards, thick hair in the shower cubicle, wardrobe doors hanging off, you'll be fine. The kitchen from which breakfast is cooked, is not a kitchen at all, it literally is...

We booked a family room for two night for an exhibition at the end of February. One member of our party is disabled but we were aware from the site there was no lift but that wasn't a problem. However, when we advised the hotel we'd have a wheelchair with us, they automatically allocated us a ground floor room, which...

We stayed here for two nights in July. The hotel is located in a quiet and nice zone in Bayswater, about 5 minutes walking from Paddington station (circle, hammersmith), from Lancaster Gate (central line) and from Praed St bus stop. Our room was large and clean; luckily there was one extra bed, because the air-conditioner on the ceiling leaked right...

Thank you for taking the time to write a review about Barry House. I am very sorry that there was leak from the air conditioning unit in your room. I assure you that this was rapidly fixed and has not caused any problems since. We do serve a cooked breakfast of eggs, bacon, sausages etc. in addition to cereals, toast...
