The Cavendish is a fair hotel, which is situated I in a great location in the heart of London. There is no gym, but one can go running in the parks nearby. Prices are high and it would be nice if they were always quoted inclusive of taxes. Good for sightseeing, ok for business. You don't need breakfast at the...

I booked an overnight stay a few months in advance on the winter warmer advance deal at a bargain rate (to celebrate our wedding anniversary). The hotel, staff and location are all exceptional in our opinion. Close to all major attractions. We have stayed here several times before and it's a firm favourite of ours with no reason to stay...

We have just returned from a wonderful stay in the Cavendish. My husband had organised our stay as a surprise first anniversary gift. The hotel very kindly upgraded our room and we received complementary champagne and chocolates! We had dinner in the Petrichor restaurant on Valentines night which was delicious. My husband had contacted the hotel in advance to inform...

Stayed here again when visiting London. I really don't see why people would want to stay anywhere else, there are no more superlatives I can use for this wonderful hotel. Location, view, value, staff, the Cavendish has everything.

Got a standard double room on the top floor. Clean, fresh and all good. Had a late breakfast on early arrival, very nice. A full English breakfast, and great service from the staff. If you get the chance, try their bar on the 1st floor. Great drinks and friendly staff. Great for those business chats over a drink or two....

The hotel is very conveniently located. Piccadilly Square, Buckingham Palace, art museums, Chinatown, the theatre district, Trafalgar Square, Whitehall, etc. are all within walking distance. In addition, there's great shopping in the neighborhood, including a grocery story, a bookshop, pubs and fancy tailor shops on Jermyn Street itself. The facilities were modern and classy, suggesting management that matches with the...

Staying in St. James's

Neighbourhood Profile
St. James's
Perennially fashionable since the days of Henry VIII, the aristocratic “Clubland” of St James's is a premier destination for high end craft and bespoke design. Here you’ll lose count of the Royal Warrants (which indicate that the Royal Family patronizes the establishment) seen in shop front windows, even during a short stroll to bordering Green Park or St James’s Park. With the brightly lit and constantly buzzing junction of Piccadilly Circus at its northeast corner and none of Central London too far away, this is an surprisingly central and accessible part of town, especially given its prosperous demeanor.
