We stayed for 2 nights while meeting some friends. Comfortable room with air conditioning and a nice bathroom, ours had a shower only, no bath. Reasonable size for London and convenient for central London and tube access. Breakfast was a choice of an adequate buffet or ordering from the menu. The breakfast facility can get busy during peak hours. A... More

Only a few steps away from Piccadilly and close to everything. Room was clean and had everything you would expect. Staff were very attentive and seemed genuinely interested in customer service. I would stay here again as it was very close to where I had an early morning meeting.

We have stayed here four times now on our trips to London and we love staying here. The location is fantastic just off Piccadilly. The hotel has a quality feel about it and nothing is too much trouble for the staff. On the first morning we had a couple of issues about a couple of things and they more than... More

True five star hotel centrally located just behind Fortnum and Masons off Piccadilly. We opted for a standard room which was small but incredible value for money. For longer stay i would go for larger room. Food is very good. One of the best breakfasts ever although expect delays at weekends. First time I've stopped here and it will unfortunately be my last. Booked a superior twin room - clean but very small in the bathroom you nearly had to sit in the sink to get into the bath to have a shower. In the bar (1st floor) asked for a plain chicken salad sandwich got a coronation chicken without salad!!!!... More

I have been staying at the Cavendish for 25 years - lived through at least 4 different owners. Quite simply it has THE best location in London. Fortnum and Mason is across the road and it is walking distance to Green Park, the Mall and Buck Palace, and to Piccadilly and the West End theatres. The pub next door along... More

We've stayed at The Cavendish on many occasions because we know that we won't be disappointed. The hotel is perfect in so many ways, it's >location - within close proximity to Piccadilly, Leicester Square, Soho, Covent Garden, Buckingham Palace and my favourite Regent Street. Second time used this ideally ( for us) situated Hotel. Very handy for the Ritz where we were taking luncheon. Usefully placed for 'Theatreland' for our evening show. Extremely charming and personable receptionist (unfortunately missed her name but began with a 'D'!) Staying in St. James's

Neighbourhood Profile
St. James's
Perennially fashionable since the days of Henry VIII, the aristocratic “Clubland” of St James's is a premier destination for high end craft and bespoke design. Here you’ll lose count of the Royal Warrants (which indicate that the Royal Family patronizes the establishment) seen in shop front windows, even during a short stroll to bordering Green Park or St James’s Park. With the brightly lit and constantly buzzing junction of Piccadilly Circus at its northeast corner and none of Central London too far away, this is an surprisingly central and accessible part of town, especially given its prosperous demeanor.
